I read
The Tenth Muse. I gave it 4 stars. I really enjoyed the story. It's historical fiction.

I read
. The adventure starts when the protagonist finds an apothecary's glass vial in the river bed of the Thames. Also there is a drawing of a glass vial on the cover.

I read
The Women of Chateau Lafayette for #11 historical fiction. I love this prompt because historical fiction is about all I read so this fit into my plans perfectly. 5 stars.

I read
The Women of Chateau Lafayette. 5 stars. I recommend it & other books by this author. It is historical fiction but I always learn something.

Steve, when I saw your message I was on my I phone so I couldn't read the spoiler.
(view spoiler)[ I agree with you about the ending. The reader goes through Rich's & Colleen's struggles. Things might be looking up then Rich is killed off. I saw it coming too. I didn't like it either. (hide spoiler)]

I read it. I liked it. I passed it to a friend that liked it. I learned a lot about logging. I loved the setting.

Thank You Emily. That’s all the encouragement I need.

I think The Cartographers by Peng Shepherd looks really good too. I always think about the choices for a day before I chose. This book may not work for there may be dragons prompt but I’m struggling with that prompt. I hope it works.

Emily, I can't believe you don't have jazz as one of the phrases. I want to make sure I understand this correctly. A way to fill a prompt is that the phrase contains BOTH letters of the author. I'm currently reading a Marlon James book. None of the phrases contain a M & a J so I can't fill a prompt that way. Correct?

The Phrases
1. music - Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James. Actual phase, page 396 hard back. "I have not been this close to music such as this in many years".
2. vocalist - The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner

5. marching band - Dope Sick: Dealers,Doctors, and the Drug Company that Addicted America by Beth Macy

Good morning all. I put my last pages read in this morning. This was fun. Thank You.

Good Morning All, I decided to pick back up
Black Leopard, Red Wolf so I'm reading for sprinkles. I'm always sad when a read-a-thon ends. I'm already planning short books for the next one. This has been fun & I got a lot of books read.

I finished
Blanche on the Lam. I put it under cannoli, a book where food plays an important role. I'm not sure what my next read will be. My original plan was to pick up a book I put down when the read-a-thon started
Black Leopard, Red Wolf. I have over 500 pages left to read so I won't finish by Sunday night. It would count as sprinkles but nothing else. I may still pick the book back up if I don't see anything I can complete by tomorrow that will help the team.

Good Morning All, I hope to finish Blanche On The Lam by Barbara Neely Blanche White #1) today. She is the cook & housekeeper for a family while she’s on the lam. The book talks about what she is cooking for every meal & what a character does or doesn’t eat. I guess this book could count for a book where food plays an important role.

I'm still working on
Blanche on the Lam. Not sure if I will finish today.
