I finished
The World That We Knew. 5 stars. I could use it for the fall reading challenge but not the regular challenge. I have always liked Alice Hoffman. I have decided I don't read enough of her books. I have put
The Dovekeepers on my list to use for the 2023 prompt 3 books each of which is set in a different century.

When I downloaded Tookie’s list before the first time it was voted on I didn’t know what was going on. A portion of The sentence came up & there was a list but nothing on it I wanted to read. I was confused. I had checked the Wild discussion to read the thread concerning the prompt but that didn’t help. I haven’t read The Sentence so I wasn’t making the connection. I downvoted the prompt then went back & found a clear list with books on it I wanted to read. I upvoted it this time & was happy to do so.

I finished
Search: A Novel. 5 stars. My new favorite book for 2022. This book will work for a prompt you liked but it didn't make it. Religion, faith. Also if anyone is doing the challenge where you need to read a book with a recipe in it this book works. It would be a creative twist for the fall reading challenge prompt that fits the phrase "falling for you". Finally the cover has trees on it.

I have a question about the prompt fits the phrase “I’m falling for you”. I’m thinking of using a romance where characters fall in love. Should I translate the prompt to mean the phrase has to be in the book?

The World That We Knew

I just saw where Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen is Barnes & Nobel’s Book Club pick for September. I haven’t read Sarah Addison Allen so you all have me excited.

I’m sorry. I see it now.

I missed the read - a- thon poll too. How did I not see it anywhere? I’m excited though & I’m marking it on my calendar.

I usually wait a day or two before ordering after the monthly selection comes out. This way if a book is picked for a book club or there is news about the book I catch it. I like living with my picks for a few days before ordering. This is my birthday month so I'm excited. I think I'm getting three books.
Love on the Brain,
Other Birds and
Killers of a Certain Age. I can use Other Birds for the birds, bees,or bunnies prompt. I can use Killers of a Certain Age for the murder prompt.

I read
. 5 stars. I enjoyed it.

I read
The Memory of Us. 2 stars. At least it was from my TBR kindle queue.

I didn't plan to read in order this year. My firm plan was to read prompt #1 first because that seemed like good luck. After that I fell into reading in order. I almost threw in the towel in April because I was reading
Under the Whispering Door for Pop Sugar & the book was perfect for ATY # 23 which was a June prompt. I almost didn't make it but talked myself out of quitting. Before I saw this discussion I was committed to not reading in order for 2023. I have also struggled with the library hold system. I haven't figured out the timing of when to place the hold. Also reading in order for this challenge has delayed my finishing the Pop Sugar challenge. We will see how I feel in 2023. I still think I will start the 2023 challenge with prompt #1.

Thank You for sharing the BOTMC predictions link. I joined also. I have already added 2 books to my TBR lists .

Me too. I hope The Winners (Beartown #3) by Fredrick Backman is one of them.

A book that fits a suggestion that didn’t make the list this year. This is a resubmit of a pre- poll suggestion that didn’t make it the first time.

I think now is a good time to resubmit a prompt from the pre-poll that didn't make it. A book that fits a suggestion that didn't make the list this year. We are half way through our process. I'm sure many of you have prompts you were excited about that weren't selected. I have a list of 17 prompts personally I really liked. I'm sure there will be more prompts coming that won't make the cut. To me this seems like a winner because you will get to read for a prompt you loved.
