TKAM is awesome. The movie is still considered unsuitable for children, and schools in my area are not allowed to show it."I enjoyed Go Set A Watchman - but I seem to be in the minority on that one.

One of the most "Well, duh!" quotes ever, "Blood was pouring from his head and face; his face was crushed, mutilated and disfigured. He was evidently badly injured."

Pretty much part two is starting of with each chapter introducing a new character. In fact, the end of each chapter seems to be a final sentence like "And then, so-and-so walked in".

Starts today - I have my digital copy downloaded. The question is, will I get to it soon with all of my other books!

Lot's of freaking out going on right now. If you can do the time, you shouldn't do the crime!

Great review! I am glad I revisited this book this month. Had some interesting conversation here and on my review.

Still trying to figure this main character out, but Part I did end with a bang!

Just read an article about times when authors were making tongue in cheek digs through their writing. It said that the wrecked steamboat in Huck Finn and its name (Walter Scott) are a dig at the author and the type of writing he represents.
Doing a Google search and seeing lots of interesting opinions on this.

Kinda starting to get a story . . . I am thinking the first few chapters just feel random and disjointed, but are really just setting things up.
Chapter 3 was a 10 page letter with no paragraph breaks - I need paragraph breaks - it was driving me crazy!

Back from vacation! You would think taking 2 weeks off from work I would have had more time to maintain discussions in the group, but I didn't stop by here as much I would have liked. Hopefully now that I am back I can get back into the swing of things!

Here is my review:
Click hereIt was a quick read. I read it the first time about 20 years ago, some of it seemed familiar.
On my review there has been some interesting discussion about racial stereotypes and the language used by Twain to describe them.
