(and to listen my complaints :p)
I could have put Twilight as "a book that scares me". Good luck with this one :D

Yes Ace, the group is growing really fast. We'll have to push the walls soon :)
Nice to see people from all around the world, it's a good way to discover new books.
Don't worry if you have to catch-up a little, some weeks are really light and will help you to complete some older categories ;)

I'm trying too to wait to buy all the books, as I won't read them soon :)

Can you add the week for your book (edit your post and choose the week in the list) or tell us the week so a mod could move the thread? Thanks :)

- Persuasion was the classic book. I don't like classic romance so it wasn't really interesting and I enjoyed only the last part of the book. Nothing happened and characters were shallow, argh.
- Playing for Keeps was my 1st choice as a funny book, but after some chapters, I concluded that it wasn't funny. It's a modern romance, so it's cheesy but, well... the characters are sooooo cute :p Easy read and I enjoyed it as much as I can enjoy a romance movie (brainless but warmful with lots of dramas).
As I've already read my movie book, I'll take some free time to continue my side reads :)

Changed: book from an author with my initials (#48). I found one who writes children books and these ones look so good :D

Niki > I didn't have THIS problem because when I'm in love, I'm a little like Anna. It's easier to be involved emotionally when you recognize yourself a little in the character. I think the Frederick's point of view is laking, it would be a lot more intense if he told his feelings.

We'll work by week, so if you succeed to catch-up, it will be easier for the discussions, but feel free to do what is the best for you and continue the books you are currently reading :)

Yes, there are lots of dystopia, it's not easy to choose one, but luckily with all the titles, we have lots of books to read!
I'll tell you how The Lottery is, so you have an advice before reading it.
I read I Kill Giants as ebook in 2013 and ordered the anniversary paperback version published in may 2014, I wanted it so much :D The writer and the illustrator put a lot of heart in it, creating something different and pretty interesting. I'll be happy to know what you think about it.

But only for the books I love so much :) I think some characters could count as friends as I'm really happy every time I meet them again.
My top re-reads are Ronia, the Robber's Daughter and The Death Gate cycle by Margaret Weis (this one is funny for me because the 1st time I read it, I was younger than my fav character and now I'm older than him). Just after, Lord of the Rings by Tolkien and The Dark Tower cycle by King.
I think Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz could fit in my re-read list but I try not to read the same book each time (change the format or the language, keep only the theme...), so it's not really a re-read for me :D

In the app, it's in "More" and "Reading Challenge".

I'll read Eleanor & Park and Dorian Gray, but for other weeks (43 & 39).
And as many members, we'll read The Night Circus for the magic book :D

You have lots of interesting books in your list (we'll read the same ones on weeks 40, 41, 49).
Haha, the book with bad reviews (mine is one of them :D), maybe I'll have to read the sequel which has more bad reviews :p
Question: Hunger's Game is in your antonyms week. What are the antonyms here? :p

Lou, I agree, books are a great way to escape from your life ;) Haha, I never read technical manuals (except when something doesn't work, of course). Luckily, with ebooks and a bookcase full of love, I'll never have to do it (I hope!).

Examples: Lucky Man: A Memoir (by Michael J Fox), Steve Jobs, Joss Whedon: The Biography, The Wild Truth: The Untold Story of Sibling Survival (by the hero's sister of Into the Wild).
A true story = a story based on something which happened for real.
Examples: Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption, Into the Wild.
Some true stories books are memoirs, memoirs and true stories are non-fiction, and you can catch a headache deciding what to read :p
