152301 I'll be happy to discuss Bird Box. The summary was really interesting and I liked the cover, so I want to discover more about the story :) Creepy sounds great for the scary week!

I've some long books on my list, so I tried to put shorter ones between them. I don't have enough time to read 500pages each week.
I'm sure you'll catch up during the light weeks :)
152301 This looks very interesting! :)
I'm sad there is no ebook for the 1st one! But thanks for the discovery anyway, maybe I'll try the paperback version.

152301 I'd never read this author before. Lock in and the prequel were the month books of a group I follow, so as the prequel was free, I decided to give it a try. And magic happened :p
Lock in is a dystopian thriller which is unusual (dystopias are often survival books), with the "humans use artificial bodies". I really enjoyed The Surrogates (graphic novel) which has these same features, so it could be a side read for you, before Lock in to discover this type of story or after if you like it :)

152301 If the story is sad, I'll probably cry with the movie, not the book. There's some tissues somewhere :p

I'm currently reading (not in the challenge) Lock in, your week #37. I'm just at 25% but it's really well written, I'll see later but the book is on its way for a 5 stars review. You have to read Unlocked: An Oral History of Haden's Syndrome before reading Lock in. It's free (link in the 1st review), "short" and totally needed to understand the story, so don't miss it ;) (and it's a great way to taste the writing and the universe ^^).

152301 Same for me, some books seem so interesting ^^

Ah Stormqueen!. It was probably my favorite in the Darkover series because I remember Dorilys and well, she's a storm girl, which is awesome. I've to re-read it one day :)

The Giver is an easy read with some unusual ideas. I read all the series (4 books) in 10 days.
The Colour of Magic is not my fav discworld novel but it's good enough to discover the world and Pratchett :)

152301 Ah :D Welcome :)
I'm curious to see which books you'll choose for the other weeks!
Jan 15, 2015 12:31AM

152301 (ahem, I wrote "leaves", it's really not this spelling)
A city where you want to live is a great idea :) I want to live in a forest full of faeries, I'm sure I can find lots of books happening there :p

152301 For the moment, The Woods Are Dark is my (short) book with bad reviews. The story seems really lame, the reviews were fun and I think I can read this like watching a bad horror movie :p
Week #31 is in a long time so maybe I'll find another book. It's one of the most difficult week.
Jan 14, 2015 10:33AM

152301 The impossible challenge :D
If you find a book that fits all the categories, you have to tell us :p

Funny idea anyway ;)
Jan 14, 2015 10:20AM

152301 I never saw the movie and didn't read the book, I've to catch-up on tomatoes :D
Jan 14, 2015 10:18AM

152301 Yey, join me on the trip to Neverland :D (I'll read the annotated version).
And you'll travel to Oz, it will be a year with great adventures :)
I like your cover for the cover book :)

You have almost completed your plan list for the challenge, congrats!

152301 Great Karbyn :) I read Brave New World several times, it's an interesting book (I like old sci-fi because you see how some people imagined the future which is our past/present now).

Kayla > I think we need a hint. Your summary is pretty complete, but the book is obviously not in our comfort zone :)

152301 Harry is the boy with the glasses and the scar :p
Glad to help :D

I read some Jules Verne years ago. I don't remember them at all, but I didn't find them boring as I read many of them, so maybe there are good books. I finished Harry Potter years ago too and don't remember very well what happened (but the important points are not forgotten), maybe I'll re-read them in 2-3 years.

Laure > go read and add books to your list, you have to catch-up!

152301 I think the person who invented the list leaves in a big city. This week is totally unsuitable for small towns, so another place is fine :)

152301 Welcome :)

Danielle > an e-reader will improve a lot your bank account :D But you'll buy more books :p

Megan > you know you'll add more books in your TBR because of this group? Mine is growing so fast x__x

152301 Huhu, this is a plan :D I like all the informations ;)
Jan 14, 2015 08:50AM

152301 Added too, it seems interesting. It's nice to discover new books :D

Don't worry, you'll catch-up easily ;)
Jan 14, 2015 08:47AM

152301 There's a lot of people who will read LotR for the trilogy. You'll have interesting discussions if you're all discovering it!

Fried Green Tomatoes seems to have a lot of love in this group, I need to look at it.
I'll read Big Little Lies the same week as you :)

152301 You can't eat Pikachu. It's BAD.

I'm curious to see how much you'll like Planet of the Apes and Le chat du rabbin. They could easily go in my to-read list but I don't know people who read them, so an opinion is very welcomed.

You'll have a great year with some of your choices and if they are first readings you'll discover great universes (Harry Potter, LotR, Jules Verne, etc). Have fun ;)

152301 Hum. I like a lot Dorilys (from the Darkover series), Alice (from Wonderland :p) and lately I'm happy shen I meet a Hayley in a story. My tastes in names are really about sounds and all the firstnames I like have one L :D
