Sorry, doing that now!
Ah! Sorry, doing that now! I didn't scroll that sheet over. I was thinking I was missing something since I hadn't logged the book anywhere.
Awesome, I'm glad we're all looking the same direction. I wanted to make sure I wasn't pushing an agenda outside of comfort zones, since I'd been on and done the first two rolls and just assumed we would buy. :)
I'm down with the idea of always buying, since this is an ownership game. We are the furthest on the board at this point, so we wouldn't be paying rent in theory, but that can change in a couple turns. So I'm also balancing the idea of not running out of bank. So maybe we do just not worry about it, and invoke the retirement fund if necessary; I would need to read up on that again, but I don't recall/see there being any compounding interest and such that would make it more of a penalty to use that value.
Thanks everyone! I have a notoriously bad relationship with Tineye too, but I try to work with it. It just never seems to do what I think it will do and I scream into the ether lol. 🙃
Richard wrote: "I'm okay with putting my power-reading to good use. I like to help."Much appreciated!!! I saw we already have a good chunk of logged books, so that made me less stressed lol. I love that every book we're reading can get used. 💖
Beth wrote: "C, you mean the book I read for the turn? No, there wasn't anywhere I saw to post justification."Hi Beth, yeah, the book for the first turn. Okay, glad I didn't miss something! 💖
Yay, Richard!! I'm hoping we don't have to use books in that way, but it's also important to buy properties so, balance....
Is there a difference on Tineye between yellow and gold, teal and blue/green, purple and violet? Every book cover I'm testing because they look like the color to me are coming back not the named color and I'm about to tear my hair out...
Beth, did you have to post anywhere about how your book fit the prompt? It just occurred to me that this info didn't seem to go anywhere... 🤔I would keep my library books, but my library system is splitting up, so nothing can be renewed (aka are all overdue) and some books are going to be outside of network, so I'm just getting books back as I read them. I don't have the lifespan for their nonsense...
If we get a low roll next time, do we want to not buy? This side of the board is a bit expensive and I don't want us to run out of money, since we aren't even halfway to a Salary space. Although if we put some big books in our retirement account, we can pay the penalty to get that money out to use...? We don't need to make decisions yet, but I think we should have some sort of plan.

Aww, Jayme, your sponge is really cute! At least you got a prize for taking all those hits lol. The rest of us are just sopping wet lol. 🤣
A bit, but not incredibly difficult. The difficulty for me comes in when I have to reference back to a completed book for a word or something like that in the text. I'm pretty sure my logged book would also work for the challenge, since it was also written in third person, but it was a library book, and has been returned/doesn't have an internal preview/etc, so I'm not able to go find matching phrases there. 🤷🏼♀️ I'm taking this all as a "we do what we can and make it work", since with so many of us, it's probable that someone may have a book currently or logged that works, or can pivot to a book that fits. Just with a three day timer, we have to be careful. :)
More motivation to read more/faster! Legit, I feel like I lost all my summer momentum lol. I feel like this month is gonna be a struggle to get 15 books read, but goals... 🤷🏼♀️
