As I understand it, Char, we choose a task, but then there's a surprise rule (see the first message). Dunno what that rule will be until we get there I think...
I'd prefer MPG, since that's more straightforward. The chain is a wildcard, so I may not get a book done this week, since I only have today and tomorrow before I'm out of town, but I'll do what I can.
Prompt Name / #: Thrillers #63Book: Miss D and Me: Life with the Invincible Bette Davis

Pages: 288
Task: Read a book where the word HOUSE is found in the text.
How it Fits: pg 33 "the thick green carpet at the Colonial House"
Week: 1Book Title: Miss D and Me: Life with the Invincible Bette Davis
Author: Kathryn Sermak

Reflection: Bette Davis was organized, always carrying on, sometimes demanding 😳. I like to think I'm organized, since this helps me keep track of books I'm reading and challenges I'm doing.
The tasks are posted in the announcement thread, so make sure you find those! Here's the first one:Week 1 Prompt: What You Bring With You
Some locks don’t need a key—they open for what you carry.
Choose a book that reflects something you bring to this partnership:
a personality trait, a past experience, a strength, a flaw—anything that shapes how you read and relate.
Each of you will choose your own book and explain what you're bringing to the box.

What books met Belle's special rule? (minimum 1 per person): no special rule on this toy since it wasn't a mini game? But all three of us read for the task.
I think we're still half the board away from a salary space? I guess unless we hit something that advances us a way forward. I was thinking Richard's big books (especially the ones that he tagged for cashing in). As far as tasks, they are so varied that almost anything could work for something else, so that's why I was thinking largest possible, or largest from a mix of teammates. Thoughts?
No worries! I didn't look at all the books logged for this; just the bigger ones trying to find a match, but I think we did okay on the earnings. 😁

I got back, and found two MPG Politics books in our logged books. That let us use a big book from Richard and Beth's Bernie Sanders series book. I posted that, and our turn is done. :)

Plan: read for task and earn $ based on pages
Beth or Wish, our turn. I rolled a 3 and moved our token to genre twins: two teammates must each read a book from the same genre. We earn $.50 per page, so we may want to use some chunky books, maybe from the book log if we have common genres. I will put up the turn post, but then I have to run. I'll check progress when I'm back home, since I can start checking books as well then. :)If we need it, my current book is Dear Mrs. Bird, but the page count isn't very high.
I so appreciate that we're all here for each other! 💖 I'm on vacay Wed-Sun next week, so I won't be on much, or probably reading much...
Oh yes, absolutely! Just if I get time on and see it's waiting, I can't not. Ya know. 🤪 I definitely appreciate y'all picking up when I don't have time, or if I'm away like most of next week. We all have other things in our lives, so I just look at it as doing what I can when I can, and that paying forward for the team will come full circle when needed. :)
