I finished Ink and Bone. It ended up being more of a dystopia than I had hoped. The paranormal aspect was kind of minor and not really explained, but I think it will come into play more as the series goes on.

March Mini-Mini-Challenge - Luck 'O The Irish (Completed)



This single book challenge is only good for one month! From March 1 to March 31.

Mission: Find and read one book with a story or cover/title that is somehow associated with the "Irish" experience. Books set in Ireland, Irish immigrant stories, anything by Maeve Binchy, etc. For cover/title, this could mean green, orange, luck, clover, lucky charms (rabbit's foot, etc.), or whatever else means "Irish" to you.

Renee, I read the first book a couple years ago and have been meaning to continue for ages. This will give me a good excuse.

How about Ink and Bone? Paranormal librarians in a world where the Alexandrian library still exists seems appropriate!

I managed to find one that doesn't cross over with another challenge - Throne of Jade for green on the cover and in the title.

Renee, I think this is the hardest one for me. It's so easy to get distracted with new books!

Glad you're joining! I'm also trying to do my challenges without buying anything this year. The temptation is really tough sometimes!

You should be able to see awards listed on the book description page. Someone has to go in and add them manually, so it's not 100% reliable.

Either that or you can browse the different awards to see a list of books that won them, but I think that's different than what you're asking.

I finished The Golem and the Jinni this week. It was a good one for me to start out the challenge with, since I enjoyed it. I'm now motivated to keep going!
