I suppose the pie could have 7 pieces. I could get them to fit!
Glad to have given you a treasure trove of reading planning! I really like the look of the Guardian's list a lot.

The Guardian list is broken up by 7 themes (so readers would only have to do 6): love, crime, comedy, family and self, state of the nation, science fiction and fantasy, war and travel.
Do you think the Boxall's list could be easily broken up into 6 date ranges?
OR - combine into one big pie with 12 pieces, using both dates and themes.

It could be simple like the Award winners one (read a chosen number of books that are on either list), or we could make it a bit more complicated with genre/category, or time period included. I'm not sure what the best format would be. It could be a Bingo, or something else. I'll mull it over and report back. :)

- The goal is to read books that have won an award. Any award is eligible, but see below for a list to help get you started.

Definitely, Renee!

Both of those are award winners, too - so maybe I'll kill two birds with one stone.

I really like the mini-challenges best because you can do so much with them and keep it fresh. I also enjoyed the genre and world lit challenges. Although I didn't manage to do them every month, it did help me get to some books that I wouldn't have. And the Points challenge is a fun bonus activity. Who doesn't like to add up points??
I'd like to see more...
I'd like to see more challenges related to making progress on series and on TBR (owned) books. I'm thinking I need to focus heavily on those two things next year, since they are getting out of hand for me! Whether it's through mini-challenges or something else.
Voting on books
I stopped voting on the monthly choices because I found that I wasn't getting around to reading them, and didn't want to skew the results.
