I started that one and ended up dropping it, Cindy. I thought it was just me. :)

118012 I read The Firebird, which ended up including the Russian Tsar Peter the Great and the Empress Catherine. I also read The Midnight Rose, which ended up being about Indian royalty. So two unplanned books in the theme.

I also just finished Her Royal Spyness.

118012 It's true that October fits better for creepy in the western world, but not everyone in the group is from this region.
118012 I finished The Midnight Rose, set in India and England during the 1920s.

118012 Both Her Royal Spyness and The Demon King are on my Dust the Shelf challenge list, so I might try to tackle one of them this month.

Other possibilities from my shelves are:
A Court of Wings and Ruin
The Willful Princess and the Piebald Prince
The Orphan Queen
Oath of Fealty
The Trouble with Kings

118012 This month's theme is Royalty. This can be what we traditionally think of (kings, queens, princes, princesses, and their equivalents in other cultures), including fairy tale or fantasy versions.

It can also be taken more loosely to include modern renditions such as movie stars, athletic stars, etc. Fiction or nonfiction.

What are you reading?

118012 Not Game of Thrones itself? It's a bit of a stretch, but it could work.
