Wow, we're nearing the end of the year! Just two months left for this year's theme challenge. What theme should we have in November? Nominations are open until Saturday, Oct 21st.
I read The Restorer, a suitably creepy story about a cemetery restorer who sees ghosts, and they're not friendly if they know you see them.

I'm with you on horror, Rosemarie - not usually my thing! I'm planning to read a humorous ghost cozy mystery and a paranormal for this month.
We're reading spooky in October! Think Paranormal, Halloween, witches, cats, creepy, spooky, scary, gothic atmosphere... whatever puts you in the Halloween mood. May shivers abound.

This maxi challenge is our final genre exploration for the year. From September to December, the focus is Mystery. Put together clues and chase down villains, because the game is now afoot!

There are lots of great challenges that get us to stretch our horizons, try new things, or catch up on Classics. I find I get so busy with them that I forget to save time for favorites. I forget that I'm dying to read more books by authors I already love.
This challenge is a reminder to do that. Don't put off reading your favorite authors for the sake of strangers you may or may not enjoy. Allow yourself a little bit of self-indulgence. Seize the Day!
From September through the end of the year, choose those books you most want to read, by favorite authors, or maybe books in a favorite series. Treat yourself.
