118012 Wow, we're nearing the end of the year! Just two months left for this year's theme challenge. What theme should we have in November?

118012 I read The Restorer, a suitably creepy story about a cemetery restorer who sees ghosts, and they're not friendly if they know you see them.

118012 I'm with you on horror, Rosemarie - not usually my thing!

I'm planning to read a humorous ghost cozy mystery and a paranormal for this month.

118012 We're reading spooky in October! Think Paranormal, Halloween, witches, cats, creepy, spooky, scary, gothic atmosphere... whatever puts you in the Halloween mood.

May shivers abound.

118012 That's great, Sandy!

118012 I don't think we need a poll this month since all these nominations are along the same theme.

There are lots of great challenges that get us to stretch our horizons, try new things, or catch up on Classics. I find I get so busy with them that I forget to save time for favorites. I forget that I'm dying to read more books by authors I already love.

This challenge is a reminder to do that. Don't put off reading your favorite authors for the sake of strangers you may or may not enjoy. Allow yourself a little bit of self-indulgence. Seize the Day!

From September through the end of the year, choose those books you most want to read, by favorite authors, or maybe books in a favorite series. Treat yourself.

Level 1 - Have a Treat (3 Books)

Level 2 - Savor the Moment (6 Books)

Level 3 - Seize the Day (10 Books)

118012 September means back-to-school for many, and this month's theme celebrates the nostalgia and atmosphere of going back to school. To participate, read fiction or nonfiction about schools, colleges, universities, or any other academic setting.

Some Listopia lists that might help:

Classic School Fiction
Boarding School Stories
Schools of Magic
Favorite Novels about Professors or Academics
Books Set in High School
School Novels
New Adult in a College Setting
