This book is my favourite book of all time, so I can highly recommend it! I won't be reading it with everyone, but I'll definitely take part in the discussion.

I've started it before and got half way through and lost interest. I found it got rather slow in the middle and I didn't have the concentration at the time to push through it.

Crime and Punishment is an amazing book! Seriously one of the best novels I've ever read.
I hope you enjoy it!

I'm planning on reading A Clash of Kings (the sequel to Game of Thrones).
I'm planning on reading the books before I start on the TV series.

Louise, I feel the exact same way! My reading has picked up again over Easter, but I'm expecting it to plummet over late May/June!

I'm actually really tempted to continue this over to May, and perhaps June. The plays are rather quick to read, and I need something rather intellectually simulating, yet short to read while doing my exams. Shakespeare seems like the right way to go.
Plus I just love them, and I feel like I'm only just at a tip of the iceberg when it comes to Shakespeare.

That's a great plan, Chase!

This is definitely a love or hate genre, and one that is so amazingly vast that so much could be read!
What are people planning to read for this genre month?

Where did April go?! How is the year moving so fast?!
I know some people have struggled with reading recently (me included), so hopefully we can pick it up slightly in May!
What is everyone planning on reading?

Don't forget guys, buddy reads are always open to those books that just miss out on winning the poll!
Feel free to set one up if you really want to read it!

That looks really interesting, Sandy! Thank you! I'll definitely check it out!
I've read The Tempest and King Lear over the last few days. King Lear was amazing!
I'm really torn over which one to read next... I'd like to get a few more read before the end of the month. I'm thinking Hamlet, Merchant of Venice or A Midsummer Nights Dream.

25. MaddAddam by Margaret Atwood
26. King Lear by William Shakespeare

I saw that you read The Iliad? What did you think of it?

Welcome Sarah!
I hope to enjoy the group!

I might get round to it sooner rather than later then, considering your promising views! Thanks :D

Nearing half way through MaddAddam. Not 100% into it, but it's still a very good read. Can't beat Margaret Atwood's writing..,

I've got a copy of that, Aitziber! If it doesn't win, I'd definitely be interested in doing a buddy read or something!
I'm gonna nominate Bill Bryson's
A Short History of Nearly Everything.

These are all amazing nominations!

Crikey Melissa and James! That's definitely speedy reading!
I'm glad the Genre challenge has sparked so much interest you, Melissa. I was worried people wouldn't be very interest in it!

Did you do a degree, Lucy?
Thanks for the good luck! I'm starting to panic about them, which I know is stupid, seeing as they don't start til May 22nd...
My firm choice is Loughborough University. It's known for it's sports reputation (ahaha I'm not at all sporty), but something clicked when I went there. My insurance is Kent (mainly because Canterbury is so beautiful).
