I've just checked the version I have on my Kindle. Although it's one of the 'rewrites', I seem to have a revised version, where most of the changes and mistakes have been removed, so it's more like the original text.
I'll be starting this once I've done some revision! (why can't I just spend my whole day reading...?!)

Can't decide what to read next! Tempted by
Journey to the Center of the Earth, but I'm cautious about finding the right translation...

Now I have the urge to read Stephen King, Sarah!

30.
A Clash of Kings by
George R.R. MartinFinally did my first read for May!

A Midsummer Night's Dream was pretty interesting. I personally prefer the Histories and Tragedies, so I find it hard to rate the Comedies highly compared to them. But I'd definitely recommend reading it. I know a lot of people read it as an 'introduction' to Shakespeare. Plus it's one of his shortest plays!

Game of Thrones was definitely easier. I started A Clash of Kings like a year ago, but never finished it. Now I'm only like 120 pages from the end!
It is one of my 'big ones' for this month, so I'm glad I got it out the way early. Especially since I have Dune to fit in this month as well.

A Clash of Kings is taking forever :(

*sends good luck vibes* :)

Rebecca, I was of a similar mindset. A lot of it confused me, but it was a rewarding experience, and I'd love to read more into it and try to understand it.
Some of the 'episodes' (as they're known) are really beautiful, others are just unintelligible!
Let me know of your progress, and what you think of it!

You've been doing really well! ;D
Well done!

New banner! I hope everyone likes it

Lindsay, you could always wait a bit and see how you do over the Summer? There's nothing stopping you boosting your goal later in the year, when you're perhaps a bit more assured of your numbers.

Group Reads and Buddy Reads offer readers the chance to all read the same book, and discuss it if they wish to.
So, other than reading it, most participants post their thoughts, and some really interesting debates and conversations arise. Especially if it's a controversial book, or the author has a weird writing style.
I hope you enjoy it, Lindsay!

Hi Lindsay,
We generally say add what
you want to add to your to-read list. Count them if you want to count them. Personally, I count them as reads.
Do what you want to do :)

Renee, we have the same goal! You are doing far better than I am though!
I'm 4 books behind schedule. I should really read some shorter ones this month. With A Clash of Kings and Dune, I'll have to read some rather short ones to make up my numbers. Yay for Shakespeare plays being short!

Crikey, you read loads in April! Well done! :D

earlpatrick, The Book Thief and Crime & Punishment are both amazing novels. 2 of my favorite by far.
Gavin, I hope enjoy To Kill A Mockingbird as much as I did.

Welcome Maria!
If you like YA books, check out our YA Group Read for May!
I hope you enjoy yourself here!

Roseanne, if you want to include it, include it. It's up to you :)

I should probably make a new banner for the group!
Anyone in particular have a love for a certain colour? Or perhaps they have some specific words they'd like on it?
