118012 Hi all, sorry for not being around at all, I've been on holiday and there was no wifi there, when I thought there would be!

I'll definitely get stuck back into this site. Sorry for leaving you all for so long!

118012 I'm just not into it. Plus I'm finding it very hard to pick up Moby Dick, but I know if I start anything else I won't finish it.

118012 Really struggling with reading right now... -.-

118012 Have you watched the new series, Lauren?
Jun 23, 2014 02:07AM

118012 I adored both Enders Game and Speaker of the Dead. I haven't managed to finish the series though...

118012 Have you seen the TV show of Orange is the New Black? I just finished the second series and OH MY GOD.

I saw the film of The Monument Men and I want to read the book too. Let me know what you think of it!

118012 Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince had a god damn awful film version. Completely messed up all the best parts of the book.

Why would you burn the Burrow, which wasn't in the books and had no real significance, to have it magically appear perfectly normal again in 7.1?

For someone who hasn't read the book, it was seem like it would be an excellent film. For someone who is very happy with the rest of the adaptations, number 6 was a huge let down.

118012 The Scarlett Letter is one of my favourite books of all time! The writing is impeccable. Let me know what you think!

118012 Thirding And The Band Played On!

118012 Kassandra, might it be better nominating the first in the series, considering many people may not have read them. Then we could have a collective series thread for wider discussions for the rest of the series?

118012 Renee, that list definitely trumps mine! Crikey!

118012 Renee, I definitely agree with you about the size. I'm tempted to read it along with Maurice.

I saw you had Fingersmith and Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit on your list, and I might attempt to fit them in through the Summer.

118012 The Fault in Our Stars made me sob like a baby.

118012 Renee, that's amazing reading!

I'm glad the group has helped you so much!

118012 That's a lot of Chunksters! I don't know how people can read so many!

I'm about 40% through Moby Dick and starting to find it hard work. I'll definitely keep on going though!

118012 That's the site I use, and I think it relieves some of the stress of picking! I'll definitely be using it for the rest of my Summer Challenge.

(Even if it hates me and gives me Moby Dick as my first pick)

118012 Definitely Brenda, certain scenes really get to you, in a good way. The way him and his parents show love is really sweet.
