118012 Aha, I've had an increase of friend requests, but they're generally from people who have just joined the group.

It must be your infamous charm, Renee ;)

118012 Welcome Irene. That's an insane goal!

118012 We do have a Writers thread in the General folder, which you might find interesting.

And all these increases in goals is great! Well done everyone!
118012 A few of us have discussed reading this in September, mainly from the 'That Book I Should Have Read Ages Ago' Challenge. It definitely seems to be a love/hate book, so hopefully the discussion will be rather lively.

Whether you are reading it with us, or have read it, please join in with the discussion.

118012 More the merrier, Renee! And your additions to the discussion are always fascinating!

118012 I've been meaning to read Insurgent, but it's been so long since I've read Divergent that I can't really remember where it left off. Might do a quick recap then read it sometime soon.

118012 God, I'm finding it hard enough in my teens!
Aug 27, 2014 06:35PM

118012 And snacks! I'm going to be travelling most of the Saturday, so snacks may be hard to come by!

118012 I found a .mobi file of it online, so downloaded that, no payment involved!

And you guys keep on making my TBR list bigger :P
Aug 27, 2014 02:37PM

118012 Of course it counts! You can just update us when you get internet connection again :)
118012 I've heard that's a really good book, Kirsten!

118012 Due to the recent rave about O Pioneers!, and it's reasonably short length, I've added it to my Kindle. You guys are definitely a bad influence!

118012 My love for Shakespeare has really grown now that I'm seeing a lot of productions of his plays. My local cinema is doing broadcasts of live perfomances from The Globe and from the National Theatre, so I've had a lot more exposure to him. Me and my dad sit there raving about it for hours, and my mum just sits and groans!

I'd totally recommend Arcadia by Tom Stoppard, seriously the best play I've ever read. Along with classics such as The Crucible and The Importance of Being Earnest.

I've been meaning to read something by Anton Chekhov, so if anyone has any recommendations, that would be great!

118012 I haven't updated this in ages! Reading has been awfully slow over the last few months, but really getting back into it now. Still horrendously behind on my challenge though...

49. The Death Cure by James Dashner

118012 I'd recommend any of the Sherlock Holmes books. While they may be slightly longer, they are highly readable and can be done in short bursts. I'll try get back to you with some more ideas.

And I heartily agree with Renee on adding some plays to your reading list. They're really easy to get through. I just read Medea by Euripides and it's only 40 pages, and packs a punch. Other recommendations are anything by Oscar Wilde and Tom Stoppard.
