But now I realize this thread is not just about grammar? lol
But what I've grown to hate this fall are glowing white fluorescent lights. That's why I don't like the library on campus after dark because those lights glow---then in my dorm, they are also the same kind of lights, so I use my own lamp... Right now I'm in the library in a private little room that has windows that let in daylight. :3
I want to rant a little bit---I also hate it when I'm reading in a quiet area on campus with couches--then people start showing up and talking---Don't you people see that I was here first and I'm reading??? lol - I'm thinking "can't you people engage in your trivial babbling elsewhere?"

I gave up on writing it because it was too complex, I began losing track of what's what and who's where--and then I started going back and forth making changes---it just became a colossal disaster---so I scrapped it, but I plan to salvage the main, main characters and recreate a standalone novel. :3
A problem with trilogies or series is that after a novel is 'published' you can't really go back and make changes--I guess you can write the entire trilogy and then publish the first book, but I'm guessing nobody wants to wait that long to publish.
The novel I'm working on now I plan to be standalone, but I will leave the capability of a sequel. The ending will be partially open-ended, but I will try to allude to or foreshadow the characters' future. :3

But many times I have the same situation as Brian mentioned---I've kind of been shy when talking about my work-in-progress novel with the campus English and Creative Writing club xD
But I guess my main problem is that I don't have much of a draft to look at because of school being so busy.

I like that idea. :3 At least we have literature that dates back that can represent the emotions from past events that textbooks don't convey.

I guess I see it as authors having different interpretations behind their titles. I didn't know there were any books with the same title until after I had a hunch and did a google search.

I'm from North Dakota (for those who may be unfamiliar, it's in the center of North America, a state that lies at the Canadian border) and the farthest I've gone was to New York City. I want to go back there so bad! T_T

Amidst the business of being in college, I at least try to keep my story in mind every day. Sometimes I learn something in class that can apply to my story. There are a few concepts from my sociology class that I can kind of 'twist' and use in my story. :3
At lead being an English Major makes me have to do quite a bit of writing. It's academic writing, but it's still writing. :3
So during periods of busyness, I try to keep my novel in mind and write things down. :3 Plus I have music that can semi-relate to the story, so that helps, too.

I very seldom read anything aloud, though, but I ought to try. My protagonist is female, so it kind of funny imagining reading her words aloud. xD Maybe I can find a lady friend to read important dialogue quotes to see how they sound?

But I guess I rarely skip over parts---I skip over parts of my textbooks, but usually not in literature...

So this semester, I saw some gal with dyed red hair and a leather jacket, and in my head I'm like "Oh, there's Briannah." haha xD

I've always been interested in just drawing people. :3 But writing is more important to me. x3
Bringing up Poser/DAZ again, I wonder if my roommate finds it weird having Victoria 4 models up on my screen while I'm drawing? haha
