The book already has made me snivel a few times, and I've only finished reading through chapter 3.
Are those titles related to your grad school degree or are they for leisure reading? :3

Maybe a guy can say the male quotes for you--but I guess that would disrupt the 'flow.' :3 lol

I'm reading John Irving's A Prayer to Owen Meany for my Major Writer's class. It ain't too bad. But I'll definitely need to read something with more supernatural elements soon--haha

I don't have any experience with Amazon reviews, but on deviantART (it's a website where people can create an account and post their artwork) they have a critique feature. People can write a critique for the artwork, and I've never seen artists reply with words, but there's a feature that allows the artist to check yes or no if the reviewer's critique was fair.
I'm not sure if that's relevant, but that's my 2 cents. :3
In my opinion, I think replying to comments/reviews would be a good thing.

From your kids' points of view I think it would be cool to have parents who write. :3 - It's just a thought that went across my head while reading your posts.
Usually I do my writing in snippets, too. Last Spring, I had a 2 hour gap between classes 3 days a week, so I dedicated that time to writing, and by May I ended up with a decent amount written.
I think a good idea is to dedicate a specific time to write--whether it's 3 times a week, once a week, or every day. I'm starting a new semester this week, so I'll be figuring out a good time to write--it's going to be a very, very busy semester, but I still want to dedicate time to write. :3
Plus I'm an English major, so if I'm busy with schoolwork, at least it's relevant to my hobby--that's one reason I decided to take up English Education to become an English teacher. :3
I really think the mental exercises used to write literary research/argumentative papers help when you develop story plots. :3

Sometimes I like to grab a notepad and go outside away from the Internet to write. When I was writing my old novel back in 2008-2009, the Internet didn't distract me nearly as much as it does nowadays. Darn Facebook. xD

I kind of understand that being offended feeling because there are at least 2 other Scarlet Ribbon novels out there.
Even though are titles may not be unique, at least our stories are! :3

The Scarlet Bowling Ball
I was filmed dancing with myself for a video once in high school. o.O xD

@Bisky - I suppose there's positives to having negative situations. One time I was driving on the highway when it was icy... I was turning a curve really fast and went into a ditch and ended up with my car on its side--I wasn't hurt, but it was a frightening experience that I'm utilizing for fiction use. I've also been researching about drugs... Nelly was a marijuana user before the story begins--which is in 2011, so it's still illegal in the entire country xD --so I've been watching documentaries about drugs just for some perspective.
Claire - I like how maggots can eat up dead cells. :3 Didn't they use leeches, too?

I probably won't want to arm wrestle with them. xD I guess I never thought of appendages and magic as weapons. *records thought to brain* I suppose demon powers goes with magic? x3

Hope you heal :3 - sometimes, especially in the winter months, I get random aches in my arms and sometimes my knees--and it sometimes hinders writing. Physiological noise can be very distracting. xD
Many times when I write on the computer and get stuck, I swap to longhand and sometimes that does indeed do the trick :3

True. True. xD How about titles that originate with us? We can all be title trend-setters? :3

Seeing a written copy in front of you can boost the motivation. :3

I've researched about body decay and blood decay, too. I wrote a short story where an artist and her boyfriend kidnap and kill a person, so she can paint a picture with the victim's blood. I may return to this story someday. haha
A while back I searched on Google how it feels to drown. One time I searched about the effects of instant coffee, and I found an article that claims that the consumption of instant coffee can cause hallucinations, but my mother (she's a nurse, and I told her about it) and I think it's fake. xD

I had to give a speech relating to apocalypticism, and I practiced pronouncing that word numerous times before giving it. :3
In sociology, the idea of 'commodity fetishism' popped up, so I found myself trying to pronounce that. I have some gene from my dad's side that gives me a mushy? voice. I have to concentrate, so I can articulate. xD

I would prefer a unique / "exclusive?" title, too. :/
Maybe we'll all have to swap articles in our titles or add a "his" or "her." :3 lol "Her Dance with Fury" or "A Scarlet Ribbon" or "The Christmas to Eternity." I don't know.

I am a victim of distractions. haha xD -- *points at my 3DS with Pokemon X*
Throughout the semester, it seems that academic writing has gotten easier for me. I think fiction writing's gotten easier, too. :3

My goals are similar to those of others x3
I want to finish the draft of my current work-in-progress and start the first draft of a new novel. :3 This summer I shall work myself hard!

Kevin, I like the standing desk idea. *searches*
I had an old recline in my bedroom that I used to sit on---I wrote my first novel on that chair with my laptop on my lap. I regret getting rid of it! xD
Lately much of my writing has been done at the dining room table or outside on the patio table.

It's great to see all the writing accomplishments :3
I think figuring out and expanding my work-in-progress's plot was a major achievement, but I think my biggest is moving out of my house and into a university dorm and breaking out of my comfort zone over and over. There are still many more to break through over the upcoming years.
