Me too, just don't always have anything useful to say ;)

Lol I love Elvis - when we do the listeners choice hour for the hospital radio we almost always get a request for him and often more than one! He is the King for a reason :)

I haven't started yet but am defo keen to get to it! Just very very busy :( It sounds intriguing.

Yeah, he never seems to get to know her properly does he? I think the same, she 'settled' for him rather than be on her own.

Yeah I love the Wee Free Men!!! They are awesome.
Death is one of my fav's too - the first one I rad when I was a teenager was
Soul Music which is sooooo funny! I think I've probably read most of them now - due for re-reads I think!

I hate when things like that happen Hilary - maybe the sock monster has eaten it?
Hope you find it soon and enjoy (both copies of) Middlemarch ;)

Ours eats all of the above and also hair bobbles!
Is it this book with the god of things getting stuck in drawers as well?

Brilliant - Death is probably one of the best characters in the Discworld - Soul Music was the 1st one I ever read when I was a teenager and I still think it's hilarious ;)

I bought O Henry's
The Gift of the Magi and Other Short Stories as the title story is meant to be very Christmassy.

Love this one - and I'm on 3/10 now lol!

Yeah, I've just been reading it too, very interesting - I'm really enjoying 'Dear Life'.

I'm dying to start this one - have forgotten so much! The Oh God of Hangovers was a touch of absolute genius on Prattchett's part ;)

Awww I love this, it's so sweet (although like you said, not for mice :S)

David Jason is I it I think - always a good sign...

Thanks Goodness it isn't - some of the ones on there are more than long enough!

I've got the adaptation of this as well and I'm sure I must have watched it but I really can't remember - am waiting till I've re-read the book first though! Has anyone else seen it?

He must be the only man I've ever heard to admit to being in a 'pet'

I thought it was a bit weird that Marianne is very like his first love (the one who married his brother) and it felt a bit like he was just replacing her with Marianne - did anyone else think that?

Me too! It was a nice comfort read - think I will read the rest of them (at some point....) Am going to start
Dear Life: Stories by Alice Munro next and save The Hogfather for a little nearer Christmas
