Not come across this before, it's nice

Love this, I really should read some more of Donne's stuff - did a few of his for A-level English lit but nothing since then

I won't be online later so just popped in to say.....
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!
Hope you all have a lovely time :)

Love Vanity Fair- brilliant book

Well I like the idea of it from the blurb, will let you know when I've read it :) Hope you get round to finishing some of the other stuff - would be a shame to waste it!

Ha ha, he won't be the only one this time of year!

Brilliant, thanks Lee! I've never seen the adaptation of Oh Whistle and I'll come to You, My Lad so am looking forward to checking that out later :) Also I love The Woman in Black and still haven't gotten round to watching the scary tv version which is meant to be loads creepier than the film with Harry Potter in it, so will be watching that soon too!
BTW is anyone going to watch the Mark Gattiss adaptation of The Tractate Middoth over Christmas? Another MR James story, looks like it might be quite good!

Lol the above website should come with a health warning for your tbr list!
I'm not at work till 5 today so quickly trying to do some baking for Christmas - problem is I started with making some pate and it's really too early for chicken livers! yuck :( At least it's out of the way now, on to the fun stuff!

Cool, I'll check it out when I have some time ;)
I can't write for toffee so haven't got anything to share in return I'm afraid!
Lee wrote: "Me too - what a twist - I need to read it again.
I must admit that when I first saw that this was on the Boxall's list I thought, really? (Which was very snobbish of me, particularly as I'd never ..."Yeah I really enjoyed it, am planning on reading the rest of the Poirot books as well (Have got the first two on my kindle).
(view spoiler)[ I had a couple of theories but that it might have been Shepherd didn't even cross my mind - a reminder that you can't always trust the narrator! The hint's were there (time's not adding up etc) but because he is a Hasting's replacement I automatically didn't consider him a suspect. The ending was a bit sinister as well! (hide spoiler)]

Aww that's a lovely Article - I enjoyed Possession too

I've downloaded it too Joy - it looks good! Will do a review on Amazon for it when I've read it ;) Congratulations! Is it your first book?

Hi Andrea, welcome to the group! I love fantasy too - what's your book about?

Ok well I'm not gonna spoil it but my goodness I didn't see that coming! She got me lol

Another one I want to get to but haven't yet!
@ Hilary - I enjoyed Duncton Wood, loved Bracken and Rebecca, and that little monk type mole but you're right, Mandrake and Rune were kind of scary!
@ Joy and Lee - I really enjoyed Cold Comfort Farm but wasn't the funniest book ever by a long shot - just mildly amusing ;)

That's cool, I like it :) Haven't read much poetry from China - or much that wasn't originally in English for that matter - will have to look some up
