I love it but I do think it's very difficult to judge it on it's own merits as we have all grown up with it in so many different versions.

110415 Haven't seen the M R James yet - we were out at my brothers when it was on and haven't had a chance to watch it on iplayer just yet. Was only off Christmas day, had to be back at work yesterday to make coffee for all the people going to the boxing day sales but am off new years eve and new years day so that's something to look forward to!

110415 Sounds good everyone! All I asked for was books so I got: House of Small Shadows by Adam Nevill, The Ghost Hunters by Neil Spring, Marina and The Watcher in the Shadows by Carol Ruiz Zafon, Night Film by Marisha Pessl, The Asylum by John Harwood and The Last Dark by Stephen Donaldson.
