101690 Finished book #3 in the Harry Potter series, Prisoner Of Azkaban, such fun, can't wait to read book #4 Goblet Of Fire. My first time attempting to read the entire series[only read the first 2-3 before], but love the films, and so far, the books too.

101690 TVW, I'm sure you will enjoy them and get loads of new titles to add to your TBR pile, lol!

101690 Assault and Pepper was just too boring to continue reading, so I gave up.

Plan to start Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but probably not until tomorrow, as have to watch the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers[I hope] in basketball tonight!

101690 All those veggies sound so yummy, and the flowers sound lovely.

I miss all that, but I am so happy to have enjoyed gardening and preserving for many years. Now I enjoy it vicariously through reading and movies that feature gardening/gardens.

101690 Hi Rebecca, WELCOME to the group! I'm glad you found us.

I have also recently become hooked on Cozy mysteries. For more

I also prefer "clean" reads, without pervasive cursing, graphic violence, sex, or gruesome gore.

101690 Lilac time is over now[one of my favorite fragrant flowers] and now the roses are coming on.

What flowers or flowering shrubs are blooming in our gardeners yards, now?

101690 Great thanks for the info, Kristi! :]

101690 Actually, I love to read personal accounts of where people live.
I want to move from Ohio's humid summers, and cold/snowy winters.
My grown son says San Diego, CA is the only place to consider, but I Iove green scenery, plus the COL there is insane!

I had checked the info about Portland, but I also love sunny days, and the constant overcast and drizzle, plus some scary mudslide videos, scared me into thinking Boise, ID might be more for me.

101690 Wow Kristi, no, never heard of or saw the Creative Writings!

Where does one find it? Is it a Goodreads discussion group?

I think adding a "clean" tag, is a great idea!

101690 Last night I finished a wonderful romantic suspense~ Quinn (Wyoming Sky, #1) by R.C. Ryan and next plan to read the cozy mystery Assault and Pepper[book #1 in the Spice Shop series] ~

101690 Tried to read John Saul's ~The Manhattan Hunt Club The Manhattan Hunt Club by John Saul , but had to stop, because of crude sexual talk, "F" bombs, pervasive profanity, and homosexual sex killing! I had no idea that Saul wrote crap as offensive as Stephen King!

So now I'm reading a contemporary western romance~ Quinn (Wyoming Sky, #1) by R.C. Ryan

101690 Great, I thought it was an enchanting read, almost... magical! :]

101690 Desiree wrote: "I finished the Wedding Cake Murder and was not impressed. Sometimes I feel as though series can be stretched out too long and become stale.

I am now reading [book:The Dress Shop of Dreams|21855279..."

I hope you enjoy that one! I feel the same way about series, but sometimes I wonder if it's just my mistake to read too many books in a series in a row, without reading something else that causes me to get 'burnt out'?
101690 Oh gosh, I have the exact opposite problem! I come here and look and read reviews and just keep adding to my TBR list, and I am a terrible Kindle book hoarder! I won't even live long enough to read all the books I have in my Kindle library!

101690 Sorry to say that the Harmony Trilogy had far, far too much god-talk and religious proselytizing, especially the last book from half-way until the end. It was like one tediously long sermon!Preaching, preaching, preaching, so it ruined the story, and I skimmed to the end. It ruined what was a good story, and turned me off the preaching ,so much that I think it will be quite some time before I read another Amish or Mennonite book!

So next up is the Fantasy-romance The Girl Who Chased The Moon~ The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen
