Yes, definitely-"Clean", but also no gruesome gory details for me, and I will not read anything about abduction, abuse, or harm to a child, and that is the plot in too many mysteries, unfortunately. :[

101690 Both The Whistler by John Grisham and

Outfoxed (Andy Carpenter, #14) by David Rosenfelt were just ok mysteries, so next up an Amish mystery by one of my favorite authors of Amish-themed books Marta Perry. Where Secrets Sleep (House of Secrets #1) by Marta Perry

101690 I'm not sure about 'indie' novels, as I don't pay any attention to whether they are or not, only to the synopsis sounding interesting. However, you might like to check out my other recently created group~Clean Mystery/Suspense for the Squeamish

101690 My mom was like your grandma and she usually had at least two books bookmarked and lying in different rooms of our house.

I never used to read more than one book at a time, but since getting my Kindle Paperwhite, I am now usually reading one book during the day[when I get a chance],and one book in the evening/night, on my Paperwite, as there is no light near my recliner where I read.

101690 Re: Autumn, so does that mean you are now enjoying "Indian Summer"? Where I live next to Lake Erie we haven't had a killing frost yet, but inland away from the lake has.

Re: Margaret, Wow you are already past peak color? It's just beginning here in northern Ohio!
101690 Fall is my favorite season, and today will be a perfect 70 degree day to enjoy the trees changing color. Will be out and about today and tomorrow.

101690 Since I love Gothic I think I would enjoy the Gad's Hall books more if there was more of a supernatural element to them than reviewers report.

I'm not really a fan of Victorian England books.

101690 I love Amish-themed fiction, and have really enjoyed the mysteries by Marta Perry and Shelley Shepard Gray.

101690 Good idea, Kristi. I also don't mind when a book has the recipes at the back of the book.

101690 I have read several cozy mysteries that have recipes, some I have written down but haven't tried yet. I don't cook as much as I did when our family of five were all together.
