I should have mentioned here (didn't think of it until now) that I'm not accepting review requests at this time. Joyce, if you want to remove my blog (Romance, Old School) from the list, or at least add that I don't take review requests at this time, I'd appreciate that. :O)
Wow. A month or so ago we were talking about having almost 1000 members and now we're getting close to 1100. This is awesome!
Edited to add: Please only post contests/giveaways/sweepstakes that are book related. Bookstore gift cards (including Amazon gift cards) are book related and thus allowed. Giveaways for random amounts of money, especially LARGE amounts of money, are not book related. Non-book related giveaway postings will be removed at the moderators' discretion.
We also strongly recommend you read this article about the laws surrounding giveaways/contests/sweepstakes:

YAY for {almost} 1000 members! Amazing, isn't it? And it definitely calls for a celebration, an extra special one. I'll put my thinking cap on and see what I can come up with for donations. ~♥♥~

TreasureLine Publishing (my publisher) is having a book launch party today and tomorrow. Two books have made their debuts, Elizabeth Mueller's Darkspell (young adult paranormal romance) and Amanda Stephan's Lonely Hearts (contemporary Christian romance). If you'd like a chance to win copies of both e-books, click on over to my romance blog: ~Book Giveaway~ Launch Party Excitement! and leave a comment (on the blog) with your email. It's that easy to enter. The winner will be announced tomorrow (November 2) and entries will be accepted right up until I make the announcement.
There are multiple chances to win copies of these books, both paperback and e-book. Check out the Novel Launch party pages (HERE for Darkspell and HERE for Lonely Hearts) and the authors' blogs and websites (links are on the party pages) for more chances to win. If you can't wait for winner announcements, Novel Launch has special party pricing.
Happy reading and winning!!
There's a new short story site called Clever Fiction. Each week, three writing prompts are posted. Writers are encouraged to come up with a story 250-1000 words long, using those three prompts. Each author is given their own "blog" to which their stories are posted every week that they choose to submit one. The "blog" also includes optional links to the writer's personal blog, website, and a facebook page/profile, as well as a photo. All of this is done for free.
For example, you can find my CF "blog" HERE and Linda Boulanger's HERE . (We both lean towards romance, clean, of course, but we each have a few stories up that aren't romance.)
This is not a contest, just a writing exercise and opportunity for some feedback and encouragement. All genres are welcome and everyone's been keeping the stories pretty clean (I haven't read every story yet). However, there are definitely some stories that will appeal more than others. You don't have to be an author to participate, everyone's welcome to give the writing exercise a try.
Please stop by and check it out. If you have any questions, please ask, and I'll do my best to answer them.
Happy reading and writing!
