We have no restrictions on story length for the group bookshelf. Welcome to the group! ♥

10067 I suggest you ask in groups (such as this one, provided the story's clean romance) for some readers who are willing to post honest reviews, letting them know the word count upfront. Then, those who enjoy short stories or those who enjoy your genre can volunteer.

It's pretty much the same as requesting reviews for a novel. I've noticed very few reviewers who only review short stories but most reviewers will review any length of story provided it's a genre they enjoy.

Hope this helps!

10067 When I need to laugh I grab anything by Marion Chesney. Not any of her other pseudonyms and only her older titles, like the Six Sisters series or A House for the Season series. I think most of her older Regencies are being re-released as eBooks but the paperbacks aren't too difficult to find and are usually pretty inexpensive.

Hi Amy! I popped over and grabbed a copy of your short story. Thanx for sharing! ☺

I feel it would have been a great short story but I feel she really dragged it out to make a novel. She could have created more events before and after the Titanic episode but as it stands I give it 3 stars"

Hi, Lu! I'm not sure what Anita Stansfield's book has to do with discussion posting. This particular thread isn't for any discussion other than what folders we need to add to the group to keep the discussions well-organized and easy to navigate. Did you have a question about what folder this topic belongs in? I would suggest the "Book Chats" folder, so others can participate in the discussion too.

Most of these free Kindle books are only free for a day or two. Then they go back to their previous status.

Welcome to the group, Allison! Please add any clean romances you've enjoyed to our group shelf. And we have a folder for author/book promotion so you can post as much as you like there about your books. ☺

Joyce, it might be a good idea to send out a group broadcast to let everyone know that unclaimed prizes will be reassigned on Wednesday. Maybe a few who forgot to check will pop on by to see if they've won. ☺

10067 My current eBook library contains over 260 titles and I use Kindle for PC. I will own a Kindle one day, I'm sure, but for now, this works just fine for me. :O)

After a few of the comments in the BIG giveaway about not having eReaders, I wondered how many people avoid entering drawings for e-copies because they think they can't read them anyway. It made me sad 'cause so many are being published in eBook only these days, and these readers are missing out on some wonderful stories. :O(

10067 Hello and welcome to all our new members! It's so great to have you here. :O)
10067 For those of you who avoid the eBook giveaways 'cause you don't own an eReader, here are links to download free reading apps, at least ones from Amazon and B&N. (In light of our recent group book giveaway and the number of eBooks that were the prize, as well as how many other giveaways are eBook related, I thought this new discussion thread might be a good idea.)

Free reading apps from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html...
Free reading apps from B&N:
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/free-...

If you have a PC or laptop that runs ubuntu instead of Windows, you can use the Kindle Cloud Reader.

As far as availability in other countries goes, I'm under the impression that these apps work anywhere, though book availability will vary from country to country. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

Hope this helps!
10067 Crystal wrote: "Its a kindle but i do not own one so how do i read the book ?"

As Joyce said: "If you've won a Kindle or Nook book and don't have a Kindle or Nook, please remember that free apps can be downloaded to allow you to read books in these formats on your iPods, iPhones, iMacs, or simply your regular PCs."

Here's the link to all the free reading apps Amazon provides: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html...
And here's the link to all the free reading apps B&N provides:
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/free-...

If you have a PC or laptop that runs ubuntu instead of Windows, you can use the Kindle Cloud Reader (my hubby and sisters-in-law use this).

Hope this helps! :O)

My info looks good. I did notice, however, that Jewel's name got tacked to the very end of the list. :O)
