10067 Just over a year ago (a year ago this month) I started writing what became my very first serial Regency romance. I hadn't really intended for it to go beyond the first short story but readers wanted to know what happened after that.

The story now has 9 parts, posted in their entirety all over the web. OK, not quite ALL over but on two websites.

To find a few installments and the links to the rest, just visit my website: http://www.jaimeygrant.com/my-lady-co...

Thanx for checking it out! I hope you enjoy the story. :O)

Edited 10/23/12 to add: I should have mentioned that this story, though having 9 parts, isn't a complete story yet. There will be a 10th part, and that should be the last one. :O)

10067 Oh, I'm so glad it worked! I was afraid I'd have to yell at Goodreads and I really hate confrontations. ;O)

10067 You mean the search box and the words are gray? They are for me too, but that's how they always are. Did a little cursor appear when you clicked in the box? If not, I have no idea why. All group members are supposed to be able to add books to the shelf. :O(

What do you mean you didn't have access to the group bookshelf? Goodreads wouldn't let you, or are you using some type of mobile device that prevented it?

And yes, it's perfectly fine to introduce your book as you introduce yourself. No worries there. :O)

Welcome to the group and Goodreads!

10067 I've posted a new discussion about this. Please take a look and add your concerns there. Thank you!

10067 I've noticed some members are having timing issues in regard to catching free eBook offers. By the time they get the email about the new discussion thread, the free offer is over.

I'm not entirely sure how Goodreads works their email or notification system since I typically ignore both. But the way I see it, there are two possible things that can be done here:

Members with free book offers can post 2-3 days before their book goes free, thus allowing other members to receive the email in time.

AND/OR

Members who want free books can check the site itself (www.goodreads.com; making sure it's on the "discussions" tab instead of the "updates" tab) each day to see what new 'free book' discussion threads have been posted.

Now, when it comes to those who use mobile devices to check their email and/or Goodreads, I'm not sure what to do there. Anyone who does, please share your thoughts on the matter.

Questions or comments? Please ask them here.

Have you considered just checking the site once a day instead of waiting on emails? I think that's why I see every free book offer the day the author posts about it. Just a thought. :O)

10067 There was a similar discussion about this (sweet Harlequin romances in general) not too long ago. You can find the thread here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3... You might find some info there. :O)

10067 Hi Elisabeth! Be sure to add your clean romances to our group bookshelf, if you haven't already. We are all about secular clean romance, so if any of your titles are inspirational they wouldn't qualify. There are lots of other groups that focus on the inspirational titles. :O)

Welcome to the group!

10067 I finally finished and revealed the cover for the New Revised Edition of Heartless. The interior is getting a new edit and formatting; I'm almost done with that. While the story didn't change much, I did fix a few issues (improper use of the word handicap, for example).

For any of you who already purchased the eBook, you'll be able to get the updated book free. I'm going to replace the old one so all you'll have to do is download the new one from Smashwords or Amazon, depending on where you got it...at least, I think that's how it works. I'm not sure how it all works for B&N purchases.
