[close] Hello, if you have not read a single classic-even children's classics-in your life before but badly want to, then come join me on my new journey. Reading a book is always more fun if we have companions to discuss it with and that is the sole purpose of this group. We'll start from scratch and slowly work our way upwards. But remember, we are not doing this to brag about it or to put an end to the classics shaming we face. We're doing this because we really want to. Because we'll never know whether we like classics or not unless we try reading them. Let's explore. Happy reading :)

[close] This is a space for slow readers that love to seasonally read classics. New classic chosen every two months. I decided to make a space to help keep me accountable and share my love for reading classics. As a slow reader, and someone easily distracted, I thought this could be a great space to share our love for reading at a slower pace, without the rush to read as many books as possible in a year. [close] We read the classics and only the classics! This book club was originally organized by a few friends in Muncie, Indiana, but all are welcome to join! Our goal in starting this group was to finally catch up on all of those must-read classics on our bookshelves. For our monthly reads, we select one or more works written or published between the 1790s and 1990s. Classics are always easier to understand and appreciate when discussed in a group, so be sure to post your questions, comments, and opinions for each book. Don't feel pressured by the deadlines. You can always go back and engage in a discussion for a previously read book. **Project Gutenberg has thousands of free ebooks available for download.
