Not sure what to read next? Don't worry! Here are a few ways to build your want-to-read list on Goodreads:

And it never hurts to have some social support when working toward a goal, so check out the many Goodreads groups that host reading challenges across every topic, theme, and genre imaginable.
In 2015, Goodreads members pledged to read more than 94 million books! What is your 2016 goal? Tell us in the comments!

I set the goal for 200 but given that I'm already 8 books in I'm thinking I should have aimed a little higher.

Depends on how little sleep you can function on and just how good the book is. Almost all the titles I've read so far (8 in 4 days) won't let me put them down, and the majority were NOT quickies. I'm also a quick reader and tend to multitask without bothering to look up from the Kindle.
Going for 50 books! My problem is finding books that I actually wanted to read to fulfill that goal. There were waaaay too many books that I started without finishing.
Shooting for 100. It's a bit high for me, but I read a lot of comics in addition to novels, so I'm factoring that in.

Not sure what should we chase: reading too many books or too good books. Will try to strike a balance this time with 30.

Last Year I just set merely 12 Books T-B-R as Target & I achieved it.But This Year, It's gonna be 50 Books.
Beth wrote: "Going for 25 books this year. I realize it is small potatoes compared to what some people read, but I am doing what I can."I decided on 20.
25! I know it is low but my year seems full of work and uni.. so let's stick to something I know I can achieve
Goal for 2016 is 35 books, up from 30 in 2015. Trying to focus on series this year and becoming more familiar with specific authors.
10 for me, I used to be a fanatical reader until I lot interest. i would read 100 books in a few months. So I'm slowly getting back into it by reading 10. If I reach that then I'll add more. I'd rather set myself a small goal that I could achieve easily than add a huge goal that I have no hope of reaching! So here's to a great 2016!
I tried 100 last year. It didn't even go a little bit right. Then again, last years school load was crazy. Even so, this year I'm going with 25.
I usually do 50 but I am going to try to tackle some of the bigger books that have been sitting on my shelves so I am going for 40 for now.

I hope that it will be 15 or 16 per month

Going for 24 books. 2 books per month! :) Goodluck everyone. May the year ahead filled with books and more books!!!!!
30.... I read 31 last year so I'm hoping I can do more than that, and I think I can and will, but I'm keeping the overall goal at 30 so I won't be too hard on myself if I don't read more :)

wondering if any of you folks have jobs. I read 12 last year, met my goal. This year 8 is my goal. Not sure where all the time is for reading 50-100+ books a year. Would be nice I guess. More power to you! 2015 results:
Books Pledged 94,582,690
Books Finished 29,114,649
No wonder only 30% of the pledged number are read.
