Want to Read More This Year? Join the 2016 Reading Challenge!
Forget about drinking more water or getting in shape! Our favorite New Year's resolution is definitely this: Read More Books. And we're guessing it's yours, too. Make it easier by creating a reading goal and tracking your progress with the 2016 Reading Challenge on Goodreads!

Will it be one book every other month? Or maybe one book a week? A day? It's up to you! Your goal can be any size. To get started, just choose the number of books you'd like to read this year.
Not sure what to read next? Don't worry! Here are a few ways to build your want-to-read list on Goodreads:
- Recommendations: To get recommendations tailored just for you, rate books you've already read. The more books you rate, the better your recommendations will be!
- Giveaways: Did you know you can enter book giveaways for a chance to win free books?
- Lists: You can also browse the thousands of lists on Listopia—where you'll find categories ranging from classic (Best Books of the 21st Century) to niche (Best Alpha Male Alien Meets Human Heroine Romance).
- Goodreads Choice Award winners: Peruse the results of the recently announced 2015 Goodreads Choice Awards, with winners and runners-up in 20 categories!
And it never hurts to have some social support when working toward a goal, so check out the many Goodreads groups that host reading challenges across every topic, theme, and genre imaginable.
In 2015, Goodreads members pledged to read more than 94 million books! What is your 2016 goal? Tell us in the comments!

Not sure how people are managing to read 70 or 80 books in a year. I kept track of the books I finished last year and it came to 35. And I consider that I read a lot. But I also have a full time job. Maybe some of these people don't. I would love to give up work and read full time. Sadly not possible :)My goal for this year is to finish two books I keep picking up and reading a bit more of and then putting down to read something else. They are - Les Miserables by Victor Hugo (very long and very long winded), and The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins (very dry in places). I also aim to finish more than the 35 books I read last year.

100... I may be crazy but I figured that the number applies to any book; long or short so I think I can do it.
I've cut it to 100 -- I'm running out of quality Roman fiction that looks interesting, so I hope I find some and will fill in the gaps with other genres or time periods.
75 books, baby! That comes to 6.25 a month... I've already finished 2 this month! Atleast this month's gonna be easy, I guess...
I did 100 last year so i'm going for 50 this year.
My goal in 2015 was 50 books. I'm convinced I did read that many but only posted 34, so I'm renewing my goal at 50 books. :) Just finished Signature of All Things.
In 2015 my goal was 450 books & I ended up reading 518. This year I think I'm going with 300 but will see how it goes :)

A really wonderful goal and what reading is all about. Happy reading to you.

Also always have an audio book in the car and listened to 16 books that way. I have so many things I want to read, so try to focus on getting to all of them more than the count although that does help to carve out time sometimes at home when I should be doing other things.

Hola Manuel,
En la web de Ebrolis ( www.ebrolis.com/) hay muchos libros gratis en español.
Si lees en inglés en amazon (www.amazon.com) también hay muchos gratis!
Feliz Año !
Just got back into reading after getting my Kindle for Christmas 2014.Set myself a small target of 30 books last year which I accomplished, so I've scaled it up slightly to 35 this year.
I tried for 140 in 2015' but didn't quite make it... I'm shooting for the same goal again this year. Wish me luck!
I read 154 books in 2015, so I am going to stay at 150 for 2016
As Night Falls Jenny Milchman Loved this book listened for two days until I finished it. Ordered two more.

Gosh, I'm jealous of all of y'all that can read more than 100 per year. I wish I had time and could read fast enough to read that many. My goal is 52 altho I read 55 last year, I don't want to disappoint myself. :)
