Um. Er. Summer? Goodreads, you do understand the world wide web means the whole world. Not just the Northern Hemisphere. It's as annoying as trying to post appearance dates and only having a drop down menu that only shows US cities.
Seriously? Summer Reading. Get global!
My novel, Good Will, has recently launched and is the perfect summer read! Currently on sale for only $1.99 in ebook. Please check it out!
I cannot wait for Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir, and Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty.
I plan on rereading all of Rick Riordan's mythology serieses starting in july to lead up to the last book of the apollo series when it comes out
I'm going to reread The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings and try to work down my TBR list. Also Once Upon a River by Dianne Setterfield was a great book that completely took me out of the quarantined present.

Just finished The Authenticity Project by Clare Pooley, and can highly recommend for anyone looking for a feel-good summer read!As I'm in the southern hemisphere and therefore heading into winter, I'm planning to read the 3 books of The Lord of the Rings.
I need to finish Less by Andrew Sean Greer first, and then I have 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari lined up.
Should keep me occupied :)

Quarantine got me trippin’ and going out of my mind bored, depressed and has me out running so much that I sprained my ankle......I think I’ll read a book instead
Got tons on my TBR this summer. Some have been sitting on my shelf for...ugh, months and I'm gonna get to them but now I'm tempted by a few new ones I keep seeing on insta: - The Two Lives of Lydia Bird
- In Five Years
- Someday in Paris
- Beach Read
- Love Lettering
Did any of you read these? I heard great things about all, but have to prioritize
I plan on just reading. In the summer I usually get at least 30 books read, but my goal this summer is 50!I do want to read some books by:
Rick Riordan
Meg Cabot
Sarah MacLean
And many more . . .
I’m currently reading Baileys Story and I would like to read Ellie’s story here soon. If your looks for a book series to read go read Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard or the Selection series Kiara Kass.

FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING . I made that one my summer challenge a while back . You will like it if you're a Tolkien fan .

In Africa we don't have summer; nonetheless, I'll try to read a minimum of 30 books over the course of 3 months
I'm reading two books by Julia Alvarez : Saving the World (2006) and Afterlife (2020). Next, I've got waiting, The Mountains Sing (2020), by Nguyen Phan Que Mai, and On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous, by Ocean Vuong.
Hello Summer by Mary Kay Andrews and Swimming Lessons by Mary Alice Monroe for sure. Anything else that strikes my fancy off my bookshelves that I haven’t yet read.
Justyna wrote: "If this global madness continues, I'll need to switch to books about how to handle depression..."Hey, may be talk it out or outburst, it becomes better by letting it out.
Else may be write it off, swear it off, I've tried and it worked.

jhnm wrote: "... and for those of us heading into winter?"wait, is there anything else in the world other than the global north?
yeah, kinda pissed me off too.
So where's the summer reading challenge? I loved doing it last year and was really looking forward to it this year. We want the summer reading challenge back, right y'all?I agree it would be nice to have a winter reading guide for those heading into winter now. In fact, just have the summer/winter running concurrently to cover everyone. =)
Well, I'm going to finish An Ember In The Ashes series. I'm on book 2 (A Torch Against The Night) and I'm so excited for the fourth book to come out December 1! I'm also excited for Sabaa Tahir's (author of aeita series) first graphic novel of a trilogy to come out July 14 I think. Hmm...well I think I might read the Selection series too, I've heard those are good. And surprisingly, I haven't read the Hunger Games, so I'll be reading that, plus The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is coming out soon so...
