Chesterton, because of the "intense distrust of power and progressives, railing against prohibition, vegetarianism, theosophy, and other dreary and oppressive forces of mode..."Great recommendation... I grabbed it for free off of Project Gutenberg and will read it on my Kindle.
I wasn’t around in the time the Twilight saga was all the hype but I look forward to finishing the first book and continuing the series, it already sooooo good! I’ll also be reading
Loveless by Alice Oseman
And
Godshot by Chelsea Bieker
I’ve been looking to read some darker novels! So, I’m aiming to tackle both A Little Life and My Dark Vanessa.
This year so far my favorite book I've read is "The Vanderbeekers To The Rescue" you got to read it it's so good!

A woman after my own heart. I have hundreds of books to read, but need a BIG push to get going on them. Enjoy. Reading is a wonderful thing. Liz
Bianca wrote: "This is a constant thing, but it would be nice for the world to not forget an entire Hemisphere exists XD will we be seeing "winter" reads and picks for the other half of the globe?"Personally I prefer to read books set in cold places during the summer, and those in hot setting during winter--helps make me feel more comfortable in extreme climate temps where I live.
Also, public libraries such as www.lapl.org (in some ways the largest library system in the USA) have online Reading Challenges including ones for Winter, Spring and Summer hosted by Beanstack. The themed badges may refer to Northern hemisphere seasons outdoors (but with my "reverse the weather" concept, it works out right--for me anyway!)
Check out www.worldcat.org to locate libraries near you. Some may have online services; try suggesting to those in your area that they reflect the seasons surrounding you personally if that makes a difference in what you read when.
So tired of this typical Northern Hemisphere supremacy, it's freezing where I am. Any winter reading lists for the other half of the world?
Summer Reading - just as winter is starting well done for being a website focussed on one part of the world.

I really liked Brida and A man called Ove for light readings.

The Brain: The Story of You
by David Eagleman
I'm halfway of this book. And here is an interesting extract from the book.
"The cosmos turned out..."
You have to read The Winter Street Series, by Elin Hildebrand! Just fantastic reading!
Way behind on my reading challenge this year. Seem to have less time to 'read' now than I did when I was working, but thank God for Serial Box. Great stories I can listen to while I walk an hour every morning. Listening to Alternis and Marvel's Black Widow: Bad Blood right now. Reading The Spring Girls but am finding it slow going - I just can't get into the characters. May go back and re-read some of my old favorites like Ink & Steel and Hell & Earth by Elizabeth Bear or any of Anne Bishop's Black Jewels or Carol Berg's almost anything.
I will be reading into a lot of Marx, Lenin and Trotsky, as well as books in the field of theoretical physics (I am a maths student). I am currently reading State and Revolution, and will then read Das Kapital, then What Is To Be Done, and so on.
I'll be looking for books with summer settings, like The Shooting at Chateau Rock, by Martin Walker, and A Week at the Shore, by Barbara Delinsky.
Well, this summer holds A LOT of good reads for me: Origins by Dan Brown to start. Some Sci-fi and biographies. Definitely some psychological thrillers and mysteries.
Old Man's WarJust started this book and series. Got the series for my boyfriend and he loves it so far, he is on book 2. Can't wait to really get into it as we live in the same town as John Scalzi! :)

How many people have started listening to Audiobooks more during quarantine? I find that by surrounding myself with books while I walk is so very therapeutic.
