Currently reading Catch 22 by James Heller. These books are all very different from one another excepting two by Elizabeth Strout. My favorites so far this year are: Where the Crawdad's Sing, which had an evocative and dreamy feel to me, a kind of " Boxcar Children" for grown ups; which I've long loved. Baldwin's If Beale Street Could Talk; when you consider that this came out in 1974, it truly validates the BLM, movement happening today. Lastly, Ruth Ware"s novel, The Death of Mrs. Westaway, a fantasy for the poor among us, and one in which I often indulge myself in one form or another. Happy reading, wherever it takes you.
