Rebekah 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is the BEST

Donna Phil wrote: "I'm excited to read a few of these as I've never heard of them before. Especially the 7.5 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. It sounds very intriguing!"

It's an amazing read! It's like a cross between Cluedo, Agatha Christie and Groundhog Day!

Bonnie G. My Sister the Serial Killer is not a mystery No mystery The killer, its HER SISTER.

Alison Holliday Holly wrote: "The Kind Worth Killing - Peter Swanson💕"

Yes Holly! This one has been on my TBR for so long. I need something to keeping me turning the pages right now and keep me from watching the news ALL THE TIME. This would be perfect. Thanks for the reminder.

Aaron My favorite on this list is 7.5 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. Very unique premise and a real page turner.

message 17: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bonnie G. wrote: "My Sister the Serial Killer is not a mystery No mystery The killer, its HER SISTER."

Good point! Not much of a mystery, but it is thrilling! And a great read!

message 18: by Margie (new)

Margie Bonnie G. wrote: "My Sister the Serial Killer is not a mystery No mystery The killer, its HER SISTER."

Absolutely agree with this. Very misleading. I would recommend it but do not expect any mystery involved or plot twist typical of the mystery and thriller genre.

message 21: by Allie (new)

Allie I've read 24 of these! And I second most of the comments here, I adore everything Ruth Ware has written (she has a new one called One By One out later this year) and The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is one of the best mysteries I have ever read.

Bonnie G. Elizabeth wrote: "Bonnie G. wrote: "My Sister the Serial Killer is not a mystery No mystery The killer, its HER SISTER."

Darci Day Loved The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and Before the Fall. Was very disappointed with The Woman in the Window.

message 25: by Judy (new)

Judy Taylor Holly, please forgive me for flagging your comment about The Kind Worth Killing. I meant to flag the comment by "Esorv", which is clearly a promotion and probably a scam.

Anand Mayakonda The seven deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. Omg!
Victorian mansion, time travel, body hopping, It was such a brain duck. Best ever.

message 28: by Isa (new)

Isa Rebekah wrote: "7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is the BEST"For me too! Very original, well written, fascinating!

message 29: by Abhishek (new)

Abhishek Nandi 7 and half is the BEST of the best. I 'hate' that book because since I read that book, all other 'mysteries' appear lame to me.

message 30: by Trina (new)

Trina You missed a couple:
The Wolf & the Watchman, a breathtakingly bold, intricately constructed novel set in 18th c. Stockholm
The Chain, a real nailbiter, takes place in modern-day New England

Debra B Not bad ... I've read 29 of the 40 books plus 2 are on my TBR list.

message 37: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Greathouse I’ve read 20 of the 40. Woman in the Window is my fav.

message 38: by Fenris (new)

Fenris I did not enjoy Ruth Ware's The Death of Mrs. Westaway. I found it confusing and disliked the main character so much that it was difficult to read.

message 39: by Mahtab (new)

Mahtab Safdari The Woman in the Window really deserves to be NO. 1

message 40: by Mark (new)

Mark I'm surprised "The Dead Key" wasn't on the list. One of my favorites.

Mark

message 41: by L. (new)

L. McCoy Well I’m mildly disappointed in myself, I’ve apparently only read 2 of these (Outsider (4-stars) and Final Girls (5-stars) which does probably make sense as I’m more into horror than mystery). I have quite a few in my reading list though. Slightly surprised to not see Mr Mercedes or any of Ed Brubaker’s work.

message 42: by Oana (new)

Oana Pop Rebekah wrote: "7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is the BEST"
I completely agree!

message 43: by William (new)

William "The Outsider" tv series was extraordinary. Terrific production, especially camera work, fine direction and acting, flawless editing, fully fledged characters, perfect suspense - all round 10/10!

message 44: by Sybille (new)

Sybille 24 out of 40 not bad. I clear need to read Evelyn Hardcastle

message 45: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Stotts How could you leave off The Fourth Monkey by JD Barker? The entire series is incredible.

message 46: by Belinda (new)

Belinda Frisch April wrote: "The Dry was my favorite from the list...waiting for the next book in the series."

message 48: by Belinda (new)

Belinda Frisch All the Missing Girls and The Dry are my two faves on this list. I've only read 10/40, but a lot of the others are on my TBR.
