Vickie I would add GOOD GIRLS LIE by J.T. Ellison to the list and also THE UNDERTAKER’S DAUGHTER series by Debra Webb.

message 52: by Mike (new)

Mike Schuch "The Highway Quartet" by C J Box," The Chain" by Adrian McKinty, "So say the fallen" Stuart Neville. All are great reads

Susan Small Jim wrote: "April wrote: "The Dry was my favorite from the list...waiting for the next book in the series."

it's already out, x2
Force of Nature
The Lost Man"

The Lost Man is not in the series, but a great book.

message 54: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Ellis How can you pick just one? Lol I've read most of these books and can honestly say I enjoyed all of them ❤

message 55: by Elaine (new)

Elaine Brown My favorite is The Silent Patient! This book had the most unexpected twist in the end!!! Excellent suspence writing. Can't wait for his next book.

message 56: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca I've read 28/40 on this list!

message 57: by Mary (new)

Mary Brittany wrote: "The woman in the window was definitely the best of the ones I’ve read!"
I agree 100%!!

message 58: by Mary (new)

Mary Denise wrote: "My fav of what I read from that list was The Silent Patient. I'm reading Lisa Jewell's The Third Wife right now and loved her book The Family Upstairs. I have Then She Was Gone in my reading "pile.""
I've just discovered Lisa Jewell. I really like her. Great new author for me.

message 59: by Beth (new)

Beth Haven't read Steven King for many, many years. Was a fanatic but I must have been killed off. 😢 might try again.

message 60: by Narelle (new)

Narelle Rebekah wrote: "7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is the BEST"
This is on my ' to read' list of books, which is numerous. However, I think that will be my next read.

message 61: by CalifCat (new)

CalifCat If you have never read Karin Slaughter, I would recommend from this list The Good Daughter. Then you will get hooked on this author, and then lucky you, because you will have so many books to read of hers!

message 62: by Kat (new)

Kat Galvez The Turn of The Key 😭🙌🏼 My favorite thriller forever.

message 63: by L (new)

L someone we know by shari lapena

RJ - Slayer of Trolls I have read none of these but I do own three of them, and I'll probably read Origin by Dan Brown in the next 2-3 months.

message 65: by Tesalonica (new)

Tesalonica I read 24 of these and I barely remember what most of them were about /facepalm/
I see a pattern here, too many books with the title "girl" or the exact same description "in the tradition of xxxx girl and xxx wife"

message 66: by Jason (new)

Jason Mystic River, and Shutter Island really should be on this list.

message 67: by Jason (new)

Jason Haha nevermind... they are older than 2015.

message 68: by Jason (new)

Jason 🤔😐😦

message 69: by Phyllis (new)

Phyllis Verity is the most amazing of the lot imo! The Silent Patient is good too. I’ve read a few others on this list but nothing else tops Verity for me. Gonna keep reading on!

message 70: by Amy (last edited Apr 12, 2020 05:55PM) (new)

Amy If we’re going to talk Riley Sager, then I think his latest, Lock Every Door, was much better than Final Girls. Also, there are authors on this list that you listed two or more of their books - Ruth Ware, B.A. Paris, Greer Hendricks - while leaving off some other great authors entirely - Peter Swanson, Linwood Barclay, and Lisa Gardner, just to name a few. Also, The Girl On the Train is the far superior novel by Paula Hawkins.

message 71: by Marcela (new)

Marcela Vizcaya The Silent patient is amazing

message 72: by Rich (new)

Rich pretty shitty list

Zeljka Tesalonica wrote: "I read 24 of these and I barely remember what most of them were about /facepalm/

I agree! I haven't read 24 of these but can tell you that the titles all sound the same to me.

L. McCoy Tesalonica wrote: "I read 24 of these and I barely remember what most of them were about /facepalm/

I only see 4 with “girl” in the title and it’s very notable that one of them, Final Girls, is named after horror film terminology. I don’t know about the others but I guess they were trying to come up with a good title and thought that’s the best one.

Please just stop with the spamming.

message 76: by Debbe (new)

Debbe April wrote: "The Dry was my favorite from the list...waiting for the next book in the series."

Susan wrote: "Read everything by Ruth Ware Fabulous"

Me too!!

message 77: by Helene (new)

Helene Barasch I would add to this list..The Holdout by Graham Moore. It was one of the best I have read this year. More than a courtroom thriller it’s a commentary on our justice system and it’s fatal flaws. A heart stopping read from the first page. He won the academy award fir scriptwriting and this one is sure to be a movie.

Judith V. Arrington The Silent Patient was one of the best books I've read in years...it had me in it's grip for two days...couldn't put it down...it's a story that stays with you for awhile.

message 79: by Clare Morse (new)

Clare Morse I really enjoyed The Last Mile. Baldacci's Amos Decker series is excellent.

message 80: by Susan (new)

Susan Kirvan I love all of Louise Penny's mysteries.

message 81: by Debi (last edited Apr 21, 2020 06:51AM) (new)

Debi Rebekah wrote: "7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is the BEST"

I agree with you 100%. That was one of my favorite books of 2019.

message 82: by Rosanne (new)

Rosanne Pace I love Fiona Barton!! I read everything by her!!

message 83: by Katy (new)

Katy Askeland I've read 16 of these. My favorite was Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney. There are a lot here I already have on my to-be-read list, but I've added a few more!

message 84: by Joanne (new)

Joanne Anything by Jane Harper. Anything by Tana French.

message 85: by Cindy (new)

Cindy Brown Loved The Silent Patient and The Woman in the Window !

message 86: by Shirley (new)

Shirley E After The Dry, don't miss Force of Nature and The Lost Man. Look forward to anything Jane Harper writes.

message 87: by Lesley (new)

Lesley Thomas Lethal White, is my favourite and I would recommend you read the first two as well, ready for the next one later this year ❤

message 88: by Harriett (new)

Harriett Brock Where is Gone Girl????

message 89: by Nell (new)

Nell Klein I've read 22. Silent Patient was my favorite. I now have a list of 3 that I can't wait to read.

message 90: by Laurie (new)

Laurie Elizabeth wrote: "Bonnie G. wrote: "My Sister the Serial Killer is not a mystery No mystery The killer, its HER SISTER."

Good point! Not much of a mystery, but it is thrilling! And a great read!"

More of a Columbo type story - you know the killer - just waiting for everyone else to discover?

message 91: by Susan (new)

Susan Leary Into the Water was my fave.

message 92: by tonya_with_an_o (new)

tonya_with_an_o I would add Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier to this list

message 93: by Drue (new)

Drue I really liked In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware. I read it right after The Woman in Cabin 10, and it was almost as good. A British bridesmaid party, which they call a "hen," is set in a very unusual house in the middle of the woods. Strange & scary things start to happen, but who is causing them? I was a nervous wreck!

message 94: by anjel (new)

anjel A stranger in the house sounds good

message 95: by Carol (new)

Carol Irvin Before the Fall by Noah Hawley is one of the best books I've ever read. It is a mystery but so much else is also going on that I think many people would also class it as fiction. It won the Edgar and deservedly so. The writer is the director/producer of TV's Fargo and Legion.

message 96: by Ken (new)

Ken Is there a non-American section?

message 97: by Susan (new)

Susan Hamilton The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson
The Better Liar by Tanen Jones

message 98: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Laurie wrote: "Elizabeth wrote: "Bonnie G. wrote: "My Sister the Serial Killer is not a mystery No mystery The killer, its HER SISTER."

..."

That's definitely an element; wondering whether anyone will discover it's her!

message 99: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Price All the Missing Girls sucked. It was overly dramatic and had a weak plot. I figured it out immediately. Karin Slaughter is absolutely fabulous and I love Harlan Coben too. But there are some great mystery writers missing here. Anything by Saul Black is better than All the Missing Girls. Karen Cleveland's Need To Know should be on here. But her second book is horrible.

message 100: by Rich (new)

Rich very bad list and James Patterson is horrible
