Jackson hi

message 102: by Anita (new)

Anita As soon as I get home I’m going to be reading the entire “The mortal instruments” series by Cassandra Clare. I’m ready to immerse myself in a world other than global questions and Russian politics.

message 103: by Audrey (new)

Audrey So I read this book in 5th grade it was so good there was
1. Goldfish Boy
2. Ungifted
3.Refugee
4. Super gifted
5. Falling over sideways
All of these books were amazing and wonderful to read. Great Books to read during your free time!

message 104: by Emilee (new)

Emilee Is it blasphemy to say that I’ve postponed all my audio Libby holds and plan on letting my bookshelves gather dust this summer? I’m loving this weather and I’m more of a winter weather reader.

message 105: by Michelle MCG (new)

Michelle MCG Well in Vermont it is currently 49 degrees and pouring rain! What I would give for summer temps....heck even SPRING WEATHER! It's never this late.

But my plan this summer is to read all of Lainie Suzanne's NEXUS SERIES from beginning to end. I've already read the first three but I'm planning to restart and go until the last one published.
*FATE (Nexus special addition extra)
*NEXUS (The Core Of Erotic Desires)
*SOLEIL
*DECEIT
*WICKED
*PERNICIOUS

And I also have several unread books by M.LEIGHTON
*TEQUILA HIGH tops the list!

Then there's my love of Lorelei James cowboy books. Still catching up on the last 2 of the ROUGH RIDER series books and
*UNBREAK MY HEART (Rough Rider's Legacy)
has been on my nightstand begging to be opened. Have to get on it!

Anytime ZOE CHANT releases a new book, I have to check it out. Currently reading:
SHIFTING SANDS 9th BOOK "TROPICAL LOIN'S LEGACY."
I can't wait for Scarlet's finale!

But of course, my kindle and book shelf are full of more unread books so I best get cracking...a.k.a. #READING

Have a great day and may warm sunny temps find us all soon!
Happy Reading,
Michelle Marie CG <3

message 107: by Julie R (new)

Julie R Actually, it's always made more sense to me to read more in the winter because the weather isn't as nice as in the summer so I'd rather stay in. I'm in America, but it sure hasn't felt like summer in Wisconsin yet. I'm trying to work my way out of an awful reading slump which isn't weather related.

Jodi Brown Rinji wrote: "I am working through The Mortal Instruments and the other series connected to that series. That is going to get me through part of the summer I think."

Both are great series! Hope you enjoy!

I read quite a bit from Dec. 2018 until now but I have had reading slump too. Sometimes it's due to my chronic pain and I can't focus. Other times it's because I get hooked on a Hulu or Netflix show.
I hope you feel up to getting back into reading more soon.
Best wishes,
Michelle Marie CG <3

Love it! I've considered buying all of them at once, too: )
Enjoy, Susan!

message 123: by Laurie (new)

Laurie Fieldman For Summer, I'm more of a beachy reader and most enjoy books from Deep South or East Coast: Mary Kay Andrews and Elin Hilderbrand. To be read preferably poolside or at the beach. :)

Still, I love reading kids books and participate in my local library's ARKS, Adults Reading Kids' Stuff, program. An excuse to read remaining Nancy Drew books I didn't read growing up and new YA books!

Happy Summer Reading!

message 148: by Ann (new)

Ann From Rachel: “It just doesnt feel right to call it a summer reading challenge when there are people here from all over the world where the seasons are all different. Its all good for Americans but when about the rest of us here who arent?”
Maybe the “Mid-year challenge” or the “June-September challenge?”

message 149: by Matee (new)

Matee I am looking for another great MC series. I have read so many at this point that I don't know if there are many left. I tend to like series that are longer than three books. I have some that I am reading about the children and grandchildren....those books are about 26 books deep though!! Any new suggestions would be greatly helpful. I keep my grandbabies in the summer and nap time is my reading time (if I don't fall asleep myself)!! Thank you so much for the help!!

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* Annielou wrote: "From Rachel: “It just doesnt feel right to call it a summer reading challenge when there are people here from all over the world where the seasons are all different. Its all good for Americans but ..."

I know people think the list is American-centric based on some of the comments here, but Summer isn't here in America yet either, so it is not a list just for Americans. Our Summer starts June 21
