Poetry reaches a special kind of greatness when it goes beyond borders, languages, and cultures; when people in more than sixty countries are reading, sharing, and quoting it, often in different languages. That kind of connection can’t be forced; it happens only when the words touch something deeply human. It shows the strength of Suman Pokhrel’s voice, a voice that feels at home not just in one place, but in the world. His poetry has a way of finding a place in the hearts and minds of people everywhere. In my view, his work resonates across cultures because of its emotional depth, clarity, and vivid imagery, touching people from all walks of life. As a Nepali citizen, it gives me a quiet sense of pride and joy. Knowing that someone from my own neighborhood has written something that lifts people’s spirits makes my thoughts soar freely across the universe. Besides, I am highly impressed by the idea of compiling these citations. Collecting poems, critiques, translations, and research is no easy task, yet it has been done with such clarity and thoughtfulness. This collection reflects not only his creativity but also his excellence, and it will be a genuine help for readers, fellow writers and literary researchers like me.
