Lily is a freelance writer, blogger, and novelist who writes fiction in numerous genres. When she isn't writing, Lily raises money for arts and cultural organizations or plans special events in iconic landmarks throughout her beloved hometown: New York City. A resident of Brooklyn, Lily is a true ambivert, who enjoys solitude just as much as she likes meeting and talking with other passionate readers and writers.
"I think every story is a love story of some kind. The whys and wherefores are usually as interesting as who or what you love, but you only know that if you delve deep. So in life, in love, and most definitely on the page, that's how I like to do it." --Lily

Maybe it's those romantic Yorkshire moors but it still sticks with me many decades later as one of the most passionate love stories ever written about two people. Emily passed away not long after writing this masterpiece but I bet she imagined how it would blow away the repressive Victorians who read it first. The fact that it's not a conventional HEA in some ways makes it even more romantic to me. Catherine and Heathcliff are sexy and their love is deep, so deep it survives jealousy, classism, revenge, brutality and really bad timing. Throughout it all they are both so real to me with all the natural strengths and frailties that go along with the human condition. They make me wish love was easy and reminds me, it rarely is. Love them.(less)

It's not the cold you're feeling…

December is not for lightweights. I don’t think it matters where you live or what kind of weather you’re in for either. December has become a month filled with the general busyness and stress of living the way you’ve been taught you should live. It’s a time to be joyful as well as celebrate your blessings with those you love, to give as well as receive, and to contemplate the waning year as wel...

Both Ethan and Serena's stories were great. I loved going on this journey with them. I do think of how much time they wasted being apart. But, their love endured. "

Joan Didion
“We tell ourselves stories in order to live...We look for the sermon in the suicide, for the social or moral lesson in the murder of five. We interpret what we see, select the most workable of the multiple choices. We live entirely, especially if we are writers, by the imposition of a narrative line upon disparate images, by the "ideas" with which we have learned to freeze the shifting phantasmagoria which is our actual experience.”
Joan Didion, The White Album
