Posting at the Magic & Mayhem Blog Today
Hi guys,
Just stopping by to say my Monday post is up over at the Magic & Mayhem Blog today. I ask the question, What's Starred on Your RSS Feeder? and list my five most recently starred items.
I'll be back here with a new post on Wednesday. Well, that's the plan at least. Tomorrow, I'm going to be home alone all day with both boys. That should be interesting. If everything goes to hell, though, the husband can take off work and come home to save us.
So, yeah. Wednesday. I should be back. Who...

I made my bed! And give away reminder.
Remember last Friday when I said I would update this blog twice a week? At the time, I intended to post on Wednesdays and Fridays. With my Monday posts over at the Magic & Mayhem blog, it would be a nice schedule. Obviously, though, I didn't get a post up.
But it was a good day! I even opened TSR2′s Word file. I didn't actually write any words, but opening the file is more than I've done in well over a month. I'm finally starting to feel like myself again, which is a good thing since I have...

Launch Day!
My website is finally live! I'm completely stoked to have such an awesome home on the web. I've wanted to have my own site since first logging on to the internet in high school, and this one reflects me and my writing perfectly. Love it! And I have to give a huge shout-out to Frauke with Croco Designs for putting it all together. She does fantastic work!
I have to admit, though, that this site isn't quite perfect yet. It's my fault. Or rather, it's the fault of these little guys:

Bundle of...

The Shadow Reader's Cover Art is Here!
Isn’t it gorgeous?! I honestly couldn’t ask for a better cover. The artist, Gene Mollica, captured McKenzie perfectly. I love her serious expression, I love how her hair is blowing in the wind, and the sword id pretty kick-ass, too. My other favorite part: the magical, swirly background. If you look closely, you can see mountains in the mix, and since McKenzie tracks fae by reading the shadows, I like to think that’s what’s happening here. A fae just fissured out and this is what McKenzie sees.
I am so happy to be an Ace author! I can’t begin to tell you how nerve-wracking it is waiting to see your first cover. Authors, especially debut authors, have so little influence when it comes to the final product, and a book’s cover is the first thing readers see. It could turn them off immediately… or it could make them pick up the book and read the back cover or the first few pages. So when the email came from my editor saying “Cover is here!” I sat and stared at the subject line without scrolling down to see the picture. I sat there for a loooooooong time before I let myself take a peek. Would I love it? Would I hate it? I finally opened up the image and… rejoiced! I seriously couldn’t ask for a better cover. <3 <3 <3
And I just realized this week that I have less than six months until publication! The Shadow Reader releases on October 25, 2011, and I am so stoked!
