Welcome! So nice to finally meet you. How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? I’ve been writing since I was a child but it has only been over the last five years that my writing career has taken hold.
What would your friends say is your best quality?My perseverance.

What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life”I’m a bookstore manager by day and romance writer in my off hours.
If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be? Dog rescue is very important to me. I have a house full of furry children and they light up my world.

As the two of them were getting dressed, Tamara looked over her shoulder at the tree they were standing under, “How high did you say you had gotten again?”
Declan chuckled as he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, “High enough to see you running through the woods trying to stay hidden from view.”
She laughed with him, snuggling closer, “Well, I had planned on winning tonight. We see how well that worked out. I blame it on the cursed full moon.”
She turned around in his arms and gave him a kiss on his cheek, then rested her head on his chest, “But though I may not have succeeded on winning the game of hide and seek, I believe I won something far better in the long run.”
Declan picked her up and kissed her until she was breathless before he answered, “I agree. But it certainly is rather cute to watch you try so hard to win. The look of determination on your face as you race through the woods, knowing in the back of your mind that there is no way you can win against me is absolutely priceless.”
Tamara gave him a glare as he set her back on her feet, smacking him in the chest as she responded, “Mark my words, Declan Fairfax, I will win one of our weekend games of cat and mouse. You can trust me on that. Maybe we should play this game with you in your human form. Test those heightened senses of yours.”
His laughter shook his frame as he saw that determination he had been talking about cross her face, “We shall see, my heart. If I hadn’t gone to the top of those tress you may have won this evening, but I will certainly take your offer into consideration for one of these weekends. It should make for some good research into my Were existence and how both sides work together.”
Declan lifted his head, sniffing the air, “We should get back to the cabin. I can smell a thunderstorm brewing. Besides, a friend of mine is coming over that I want to introduce you to. I have a feeling the two of you are really going to hit it off.”
She looked at Declan, anger and disbelief warring for dominance on her face, “You invited a friend over and are just now telling me about it? I mean, don’t get me wrong Declan, I enjoy entertaining guests, but I prefer more than a few hours’ notice. Do you think they’ll be staying for dinner? There isn’t much food in the cabin since we still have to go shopping but I’m famished. All of this running around really works up an appetite so I can only imagine how hungry you must be. I don’t want to appear rude by not offering your friend something to eat since I’ll be cooking for us. Do you know if we have any wine?”
Declan ducked his head, trying to hide the shame on his face, “We can check when we get back to the cabin. As for him staying for dinner, I can’t be too sure. I suppose it really depends on how bad the storm that’s rolling in gets to be. Do you have any idea what you want to make?”

Thank you so much for having me. I’m very excited to be here and to talk about my work. I’m just as excited to get to know you!
Welcome! So glad to have you with us! How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. My mom tells me that I was born with a pen in my hand ;-) I discovered that I loved to write when I started keeping a journal. Granted journal keeping is supposed to be personal thoughts and feelings but my journals were always being filled up with flights of fantasy
How did you come up with this storyline? When I write, I try to write about animals or creatures that have never been written about (or rarely ever). When I started writing this piece I knew I needed an animal that would be eye catching, so I started to do some research. That’s when Google took me to Madagascar and I found the fossa. Fascinating creature!
What are the best and the worst aspects of writing? The best aspect of writing, for me, is the finished product. The piece itself, after the editing process and right before the submission is the best part of writing. Well that and the research. I learn so many new things when I research for a new story ;-) The worst aspect of writing would be the beginning of the story. That is always the difficult for me. And the blurb ;-)
What inspires you to write? Everything! I am inspired by everything around me ;-)
How did you conduct your research for **The Thrill of the Chase**? I was looking for a were-creature that had never been done before so I took to Google and started looking up rare animals. I’ve found a few that will be used in later stories but the fossa really jumped out at me for alpha male in The Thrill of the Chase. They are cute and aggressive (like males tend to be lol) and just screamed ‘Use me! Use me!” After I found the fossa and had settled on that animal being my were-creature I looked up as much information as I could on fossas, on Google and my local library. Believe it or not there isn’t much information about the animal but what I did find was riveting :-D
What are 3 of your favorite quotes from **The Thrill of the Chase**? Quote #1: “This is why I didn’t want to show you this part of me. Please will you kindly stop staring?” Declan said in embarrassment.Quote #2: Tamara laughed, turning to look at her mate, “I wasn’t aware that you’d quit researching them. After all, you were taking animal science when we met. You’ve always been fascinated by the animals of Madagascar and were studying the mysterious Cryptoprocta Ferox before you came home with the ability to shift into one.”Quote #3: Declan laughed, “Yes, well you are a sadist since you like to burn your skin off with the hottest water possible. I still don’t get why you do that. Do you like looking like a lobster? Why not lie out in the sun all day and get a sunburn?”
Any more Favorites from **The Thrill of the Chase**: She wiped her hands on the towel hanging off of the fridge door as she turned to look at the men standing not too far from her, “Okay, boys. Take it into the living room. Dinner will be ready in about twenty minutes. Oh and Declan? Would you mind running upstairs and getting out of those wet clothes? You’re dripping all over the place and I really don’t have the patience to mop it all up.”
What would your friends say is your best quality? I’m a good listener and have a vivid imaginationAre reader reviews important to you? They are to a small extent Why? Because they help me grow in my craft. Reviews point out where my limitations are and help me push past them and they also tell me where my story could have been stronger, which makes me work that much harder on the next one
What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life” I take care of my five children (The only boy is the oldest at 15, then there is my 13 year old daughter, my 9 year old daughter and my 7 year old twin daughters ;-) I’m also a caregiver as a day job. But in my spare time I love to read and color, sometimes draw and watch TV
Tell us about your other books? Blood Bio-Med is the only book I currently have out that is a stand-alone and that is about the supernaturals being exposed to the rest of the world and Aleah Maclead has been hand-picked, along with five other medical specialists to work in the Supernatural Bio-Medicine department to put the humans minds at ease about the supernatural community.The only other book that will be available soon is included in the Cimmerian Shade: A Limited Edition Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy Collection and its title is Love Story of a Reaper. Love Story is about a girl who was raised with humans but finds out she is actually a Grim Reaper. She must partake in a coming of age mission to prove that she is the long lost girl with lots of power who can save her race.If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be? I’m a very self-conscious person which tends to bleed over into my writing world. I love what I do but I tend to second guess myself on any given project and I totally overthink everything. But I wouldn’t change anything for the world <3

About the Author:
Like most authors, Elvira Bathory has always loved to read. When she was younger she had always been creative and dreamed of being the next big thing in music but found she didn’t make the cut for that creative outlet so she turned to other means of creativity. She started spinning worlds and fell in love with the idea of being a writer. When she turned 28 years old she decided it was time for her to settle down and married the man who had been pursuing her for years. Shortly after the two got married they started a family and Elvira decided it was time to dust off those old notebooks that contained her creative words so she would be able to stay home with her children. Five children later and Elvira took a chance, submitting some of her worlds wherever she could. Despite the fact that she hasn’t been published for very long she hasn’t slowed down in creating her worlds. She writes in the erotic genre, with a paranormal flair. She prefers to write about shifters, using animals that have never been used before or haven’t been used that often and she loves delving into the research to make her characters come to life. He jogged away from campus, heading down a trail toward the river. He could run until the murderous rage died down. It took a lot longer than he expected and when he circled back to find Zoe, he was still on edge. He slowed to a walk and pulled out his phone, dialing Franklin.
“Hey Linc.”
“Frank, did Celeste ever have an ex? Or someone coming on to her?”
“Well, yeah, she had all kinds of guys coming onto her. She's hot, you idiot.”
Linc shook his head. “Not like appreciative gazes, like touched her.”
Franklin's voice dropped and his words almost came out in a growl. “No. I wouldn't let anyone touch her.”
Linc closed his eyes, completely understanding Franklin's reaction. “There's a girl living in Aunt Norm's basement, and I'm just about ready to kill her boyfriend. How do you deal with that?”
“Damn,” he muttered, his tone lighter. “I don't know that I couldn't kill him. Are they happy together?”
Linc wound his way between buildings and through the quad. He wasn't quite ready to talk to Zoe yet, but talking to Franklin was definitely helping.
“Not a bit. He treats her like shit and she knows it.”
“So where's the problem? Eat him.” Franklin was way too flippant and Linc scoffed at his suggestion.
“Yeah, where can we hide the body?”
“Oh, we'll find a place. After all, what are cousins for?”
“You're an ass, you know that.”
“But you don't feel like killing him anymore, do you?”
Linc took a deep breath. “Less, but I still do.”
Zoe stood in front of him with a little smile on her lips, like she was amused by the bit of the conversation she had heard.
“I gotta go,” Linc said, hanging up on Franklin. “Hey.”
“Hey,” she said, holding his gaze longer than any time before. “I said I'd be here.”
Linc reached out and played with one of the curls resting on her shoulder. “You did. Thank you.”
“Are you toying with me?” she asked.
Linc frowned, confused. “What do you mean?”
She sighed and turned away. “I had boys do it in high school. They'd pretend they were interested to get me wound up and then laugh when I thought it was real.”
“Who did that?” Linc asked, his voice again a growl and his still-hot blood boiling again.
Zoe whirled to look at him. She wasn't terrified this time, just surprised. “It was years ago,” she tried to explain.
Linc had to get a hold of himself. “I don't care if it was a decade ago or yesterday, Zoe, no one should treat you badly.”
It took a second, but a smile crossed her lips. “That's what my friends keep telling me.”
He took hold of her upper arms, his possessiveness getting the better of him. “You should listen to them.”

Welcome, Angelica! Thanks so much for coming. How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? I have always been a writer. I wrote avidly in grade school, but burned out after University. Around 2010 the bug came back with a vengeance and a couple years later, I published my first novel, Blue Moon House.
How did you come up with this storyline?It bore a lot of self-reference. I’m also a bigger woman and sometimes wonder how my partner finds me sexy. Writing Zoe was very easy. More difficult was Linc, but I had a good model for him here in my home.

When the woman finally leaned in, Maggie dropped her voice to the low rumbling timber that Thorne used on her.
“Darlin', if you think for a second that I pay anyone for their privilege of feeling my toys, you are sorely mistaken. I didn’t come to court you. Pay up, or shut up and walk away before I give you a freebie. Feel me?”
The woman’s eyes had grown wider with every word Maggie had spoken. By the time she got to ‘freebie’ her pupils were fully dilated. Maggie was glad she had the Cat or the bluff would have been a lost game as the woman pulled money from a pocket in her wrist cuff and handed it to Maggie.
“What will this get me?”
Maggie unfolded two Grants and looked blankly at the woman thinking. She didn’t want to stay all night. Maybe she could change her mind another way. “Tonight? About twenty minutes.”
The woman didn’t flinch. Her breathy response made it clear she was sold even if it had been for five. “Deal.”

He leaned closer. He used his thumb to raise her head so that she was looking up at him; her neck craned to see into his eyes as he leaned over her. He traced her lips, pressing his thumb against her lips, he pushed past them into her mouth. Her tongue swiped at his thumb. It was as though she was back in her dreams, but she could see him now the feelings were even more intense. She whimpered when he removed his thumb. He replaced it with his mouth, and she sighed, letting him between her lips without protest. It felt right. It felt perfect.
He wrapped his arms around her, and she drew her hands to his back, reveling in being able to touch him. Her fingers moved over the tattoos as she saw them in her mind's eye. He groaned when she touched the center of his back and pressed hard. He pulled her into lap and thrust his tongue deeper into her mouth. She moaned pushing her bra-clad breast into his chest.
The throat clearing didn’t break through their passion, but the lightly exclaimed, “Lucy!” broke through the haze.
She pulled away, and he grumbled, giving her a little space but not letting her out of his lap or arms.
“What?” He growled, pulling at the bed covers to wrap them around her shoulders. Wondering at the voice she heard, she turned as much as he would let her, toward the door. The faces at the door made her pale in shock and embarrassment.
“Jake? Con?”
Her best friend and her brother stood at the door to Jazz’ bedroom frowning with the same intensity as Andrea’s blinding smile.

Shock registered as his large, firm hand came down hard on her backside. "Jason! 1. When did you start writing?
I started writing when I was in about sixth grade. It was a vampire story about a woman on a farm whose husband had been turned and she was trying to protect her child. I still have that old manuscript somewhere.
2. What makes your stories unique?
I try to reach down and find the root cause of why a character acts the way they do. Who they are. And not everything is always pretty. We humans are a complex lot, filled with gritty emotions and sometimes they boil up to the surface.
3. Is there a common thread that runs through your books?
Yes. Women finding strength in themselves is a central theme in my books. It could be escaping their past, discovering their strength and finding out they are worth being loved. Also body image. Many of my heroines are curvy girls.
A good many of my books have a paranormal thread in them but some are erotic romance with a little kink to spice things up. I span the rainbow with my work and have written traditional m/f romance, f/f, and also a m/m short piece of fiction that will soon be made into a novel. The characters speak and it gets noisy in here when I don’t listen and give them some play space.
4. If money was of no concern, what would you envision as your perfect lifestyle? (where would you live, what would you do all day, etc.)
If money were no object, I would write full time. I would have a cook to handle the kitchen, a housekeeper/maid to handle the housework and most of all I would have more time to take nightly walks with my husband and puppies. I love my home in Texas and can’t imagine living anywhere else.
5. Besides writing, what things are you most passionate about?
Dog rescue. My house is full of rescue puppies and they are the light of my life.
6. Not limited to writing, what do you believe to be some of your greatest accomplishments so far?
Making USA Today has been one of my greatest accomplishments.Another one is learning how to work with a large group of authors in a box set endeavor.In my day job, I have been a bookstore manager for over twenty years and one of my greatest joys is sharing my love of reading with people I meet in the store every day.
7. Name a few of your favorites (colors, TV shows, movies, stars, songs, etc.)
Colors: Black, pink, red, grayBooks/authors: Court of Thorn and Roses series, Kim Harrison Hollows series, Laurell K. Hamilton, Skye Warren, Tiffany Reisz and too many others to mention them all…Shows: Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Six Feet Under, Orange is the New Black, Anne with an E, Stranger Things, Thirteen Reasons Why, Handmaid’s Tale, Frankie and Grace, Westworld, How to Get Away With Murder…Movies: Fido, Lost Boys, Underworld, Grumpy Old Men, Brigadoon, Guardians of the Galaxy I and II and so many more…Music: Florence and the Machine, Sia, Black Keys, Peter Murphy, Thirteen Reasons Why Soundtrack, Adele. I primarily listen to alternative music.

2. Is there a common thread that runs through your books?The most common thread that runs through my books is the fact that I try to write about things, animals and myths that aren’t used or haven’t been used that often
3. Besides writing, what things are you most passionate about?I strongly believe in anti-bullying efforts and helping young people build self-esteem J
4. Not limited to writing, what do you believe to be some of your greatest accomplishments so far?I have helped raise some of the greatest little people that I have ever known. All five of my kiddos make me proud everyday
5. Name a few of your favorites (colors, TV shows, movies, stars, songs, etc.)
My favorite color is green, my favorite TV Shows are: Charmed, The Vampire Diaries, The 100, Reign, The Originals, American Gods (just to name a few lol) and my all-time favorite movies are Labyrinth and Legend
What lengths would you go to prove yourself to your family?
What would you do if you found out that you weren’t like everyone else? That you were special but only in a way no one could find out about? What lengths would you go to prove yourself to your family? A family that you didn’t know you had?

That’s why you’re always alone. Humans can sense the ‘otherness’ about you, even if they aren’t sure what is so off-putting, and that is why they give you wide berth.
Except there are other beings out in the world that can be around you; Hells, there are even some who would give their right nut to share your bed just for the thrill of being with Death and coming out alive on the other end. There are others still who would kill to be with you on your journeys; to see the world the way you see it.I’ve said enough for now. As I said, time is of the essence and I wouldn’t blame you for not sticking around to keep our appointment, however I must insist that you meet me at your vehicle after your shift this evening so that we can discuss all of this in length and I can tell you why I’m here.

1. When did you start writing?In Grade Six, as our final assignment, I outlined a three part play and wrote several chapter stories. I set the pen aside after University, though, and returned to it in 2010. Since then I haven’t taken more than a few months off. 2. What makes your stories unique?I like the flaws in my characters. There’s something to me that rings true when someone slurs their esses or eats sloppy or can’t seem to not drop things. 3. Is there a common thread that runs through your books?I have written in many genres and worlds, so I don’t know that there is one. Often they have Happy For Now endings. I believe stories don’t end, they just continue off the page. 4. If money was of no concern, what would you envision as your perfect lifestyle? (where would you live, what would you do all day, etc.)I’d love to live somewhere secluded with a good internet connection. That way I could enjoy wilderness and still feed my writing and reading goals. 5. Besides writing, what things are you most passionate about?I’m an environmental consultant, a botanist specifically, so I’m passionate about the damage we are doing to our world and how ecosystems and communities will be able to adapt. I’m also passionate about my daughter. She is my world most days.
Is her true love in her shadow?

Summer dug in the garden, pulling weeds from desirable flowers and herbs. It was a slow and tedious task, but the sun warmed her arms and neck, prohibiting any ideas of going inside. Gwen and Paige were both on campus for differing reasons. Summer jealously held onto her weekends and refused to let anything from school invade them. Well, anything but the assignments that couldn’t be put off.
It still shocked her that she knew the names of so many of the plants. Her parents lived in an apartment, so they kept a few flowers in pots. Somehow she knew not only what each of the ones here were, but what Mary used them for. The dreams grew more vivid and detailed. She wouldn’t claim to be a witch, but she was glad to know a few teas, like chamomile, that helped to calm nerves and ease minds. Those would be very useful when she found a job.Summer froze, her trowel still an inch above the bed. “How did you get out here?” she asked the air. There was no mistaking that presence. She still didn’t know who he had been, but after a month it seemed obvious to her that he was masculine. Something in his bearing, which she couldn’t see, and his stature gave the impression he was taller than her. There was no answer, but a breeze rustled the leaves and the ghost sat next to her on the ledge.“I refuse to be put off by you. You can haunt the house all you like. I’m not going anywhere. This is my family’s house. Who are you to haunt it anyway?”It occurred to her that he might be a distant ancestor. Aunt Marge said no one had reported the house as haunted and that there was no record of a death in the house. Even Mary, tried as a witch, died in the square, not the house.The ghost didn’t answer, but he did leave, not before touching her arm and making her shiver. Upstairs, washing the soil off her hands, he returned. It had become less oppressive all the time, and she was actually getting used to him, dammit.She had the sense he was looking at her in the mirror. It felt like hands slipped around her waist, and she tipped her head to the side. Goosebumps flooded her skin and she could have sworn he kissed her neck. Shuddering, she leaned forward, gripping her vanity.“Whoa. I don’t think I’m ready for a frisky ghost. Tell you what, you don’t do that again and I won’t try to push you away.”There was no way of gauging his response, but he didn’t grab her again. Instead he brushed her hand, something she thought she could get used to in time.
