Below are the questions selected last month and Terry’s answers! Enjoy!

Pre-Order: Witch Wraith

Order a Signed Copy!

Order a Signed Copy!

Witch Wraith, the concluding volume in The Dark Legacy of Shannara trilogy, will be published July 16, 2013!

That’s right! Sooner than you think!

In my opinion, it is an amazing book wrapping up a great series. There is a scene in Witch Wraith that, once read, I couldn’t continue. I put the book down for an entire week, the scene chilling and haunting. The final book in Dark Legacy also has some of the most touching moments Terry has written. I’m excited for you all to final...

Terry Reviews: Prince of Thorns

lawrence-princePrince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This month I am recommending both PRINCE OF THORNS and KING OF THORNS by Mark Lawrence. They are two of three, with the third not yet published. I have read the first and am halfway through the second. As a fantasy tale, Prince Jorg Ancraft’s story is quite extraordinary. It begins when he is 13 and already a stone cold killer with a horrific past. This is a dangerous and risky protagonist for any author to put forth, but Lawrence does i...

Auction: Signed ARC of Witch Wraith

arc-witchwraith

Up for auction today is a signed Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of Witch Wraith by Terry Brooks!

For those of you who don’t know, an ARC is the entire book, often sent to reviewers before the hardcover is published. This particular auction is going to help Duane Wilkins, a long-time bookseller at the University Bookstore in Seattle, WA who was hospitalized last year for several weeks. While his health insurance covered a lot of the cost of the hospital stay, it didn’t cover all of it.

Terry is don...

Video: Goodreads Interviews Terry Brooks

For the last few weeks, fans of Terry Brooks have been sending questions in to Goodreads for a special video interview.

Today, that interview was conducted! Terry sat down with Patrick Brown via Skype to discuss his early career, his career now, how his writing has changed over time, and very specific questions from readers all over the world.

I was in the room listening. Terry and I had plans for lunch and I never pass up lunch. During the interview, Terry shows why he is a class act—always ch...

Video: Terry Brooks & Todd Lockwood Discuss Art

Bestselling author Terry Brooks and artist Todd Lockwood took the stage at Norwescon 36 to discuss art and the role it plays in the fantasy genre. Todd then guides the audience through his art process using artwork from the Unfettered anthology and Terry’s two most recent novels, Wards of Faerie and Bloodfire Quest.

Personally, I love artwork. I love cover art. I love interior art. I love how both accentuate what the writer has done and give the reader an additional look into the world. In thi...
