I LOVE when Spring is in the air!!!

Photobucket

Spring is in the air, and so is the scent of wild onions. :-) Hubby and I have been taking evening walks for the multi-purpose of quiet alone time, enjoying the fresh air, and exercise for me. I've become a slug, spending all my time on the computer writing.

Walking has a new appeal when you can do in mild weather with the sun shining down on your head and a soft breeze keeping you from getting overheated. I love walking along and spotting different flowers in bloom, seeing newly greening...

Excerpt of THE MIST

Well, I'm a mess. Joe and I are recovering from food poisoning. It hit fast and hard, and that's probably TMI right there! This morning's better and this afternoon will be even better. Just one of those things. I'm just glad the suspect food wasn't on the table when the gang was here for Easter -- they're all fine. Of course I'm on deadline and heading out next week to the Desert Dreams Writers Conference in Phoenix. But does any one of us ever have time for food poisoning?!

THE MIST is in...

OUT OF MIND!

Good morning, my flowers:)

It's that time--Court of Angels #2, OUT OF MIND is out and I want to share it with you.

Summary of OUT OF MIND:

Willow Millet longs to deny her family's exceptional gifts—paranormal talents known to few, shared by even fewer. Benedict Fortune is one such—a connection that should have strengthened the undeniable bond between him and Willow. But her self-doubt has driven them apart.

Married instead to her business, Willow's concierge we-can-do-anything service is...

Enough, already!

Okay, so we're coming off of three LONG years of drought. The reservoirs in California haven't been full in ages. Farmers have had to leave their fields fallow because there's no water for irrigation, and the creeks haven't had enough water to even flush out the weeds and stuff from the year prior...until now. Yep, from my point of view, the drought here in northern California is over.
So, what do we get, this lovely first day of April?
Snow.

It started coming down the day before yesterday...

Susan does ZinZanni

The soulmate and I celebrated our 41st anniversary this weekend. It's been a crazy spring and winter, so we couldn't afford the time for a trip out of to wn. But we still wanted to do something special, so we went to the brunch show at Teatro ZinZanni, a Seattle (and, okay, copycat San Francisco) institution. I know that most of you likely hear Seattle and think Space Needle. But trust me, Teatro ZinZanni is almost as Seattlecentric.

I suppose you could call it a dinner theater--except that j...

Jayne Contemplates Spring Break

What spring break? I've got two books coming out in the next few weeks. Sheesh. It's like this every spring for me. I can't recall having had a spring break in years. Oh, well, I admit I'm a bit hooked on the adrenaline rush of watching a new book hit the stores. It's always a roller-coaster ride.THE PERFECT POISON, Book # 6 in my Arcane Society series is out in paperback this week. For those of you who have been waiting, this is Caleb's story and the story of the founding of Jones...

Showing my age...

Photobucket

So.... I forgot all about the blog. Then outlook popped up a little reminder for me and I thought, "Uh oh."

But you know, I have been thinking about something lately, and I geuss it's blog-worthy.

My publishers are reissuing a lot of my older books. The end of this month, "TEMPTED" is out as a compilation of three older stories, "Little Miss Innocent?" with "Annie Get Your Guy," and "Messing Around With Max." The book popped up early in lots of places and some readers have contacted me with...

At the Reading Festival with Carla

I'm on the road, in New York, actually, typing on an unfamiliar hotel business center computer and in desperate need of coffee. I left my hilltop in Vermont last Thursday for beautiful Ft. Myers, Florida, and the Southwest Florida Reading Festival. It was the festival's 11th year -- 11 years of readers of all ages coming together to meet writers, talk books and have a day of fun. Thousands turn out, and it's never rained on festival day.

I couldn't have had a better time. The festival is run b...
