September ’16 Recap
September was definitely a more productive month than August. I did a lot more than planned but less than I wanted. In the end, everything worked for the best.
The last quarter of the year is about to start, and I’m looking forward to writing the final stories of this year; before getting ready for the next.
Month in Numbers:
11 MM books read, reviewed, & posted/schedule 12 blog post written 19,037 words written for reviews, posts, etc. 9,212 words for short story 1 guest post Final edits fo...September 24, 2016
#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* SEPTEMBER 24-25, 2016 *~*
This month moved faster than ever. We are now officially enjoying the first days of Fall. Well, at least in the US, and a new writing cycle is about to start for me.
Today’s snippet continues just after last week’sscene. RaffledKiss is now available as part of the Dreamspinner Press Anthology One Pulse. Enjoy!
“I’ll get a ticket, man. How much?” Donahue asked, breaking the awkward silence.
“Just one dollar for one ticket and ten dollars for twelve.”
“Give me twelve. I might get lucky and can...

#ROW80: Round #3 Recap
2016 #ROW80 Round 3: Recap
I’ll describe round #3 as the most challenging so far. Instead of concentrating on getting new stories written, I spent most of my time in production for two stories with two different publishing houses. Did I mention that I love editing? I actually do. I enjoy it more than writing itself.
I’m looking forward to the breakbetween rounds. I have some books to read, reviews to catch up, and this website needs some updating.

Blurb
Just like his sister, dad, and granddaddy before him, Daniel Matthews married his high school sweetheart and joined the Navy. That he had the choice to marry a man after the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was a slight difference. Being apart from his husband more often than not might be a given, but winning the First Kiss raffle wa...

Last Sunday Update for Round #3
2016 #ROW80 Round 3:Check-In #22 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #32
With only a couple of days left in this round, it’s time to start wrapping up loose ends. I have one more chapter to write and a book cover to design.I have accomplished the majority of my goals so far, but for me, this round has been a real challenge.
I’m looking forward to finishing everything, taking a break, and starting the last round of the year.

“Hey, guys!” someone called from the door, and they all turned. “If you all aren’t too busy, I’m selling tickets for the First Kiss raffle,” a junior sailor added.

The Attack of the Extras
2016 #ROW80 Round 3:Check-In #21
Asmost of you know, I prefer to write short stories and novellas. I like challenging myself to tell a story in the less amount of words possible. I also love 100 words flash fiction pieces for the same reason.
The downside? The extra work for them accumulated fairly quickly. I have one story releasing on Monday and today, I received a request from the publisher to write a guest post for a blog tour. My next release is the one I’m currently working on, which I...

2016 #ROW80 Round 3:Check-In #20 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #31
Over time I have realized most of my intellectual limits. From going to bed early and waking up in the middle of the night to study for a test when in high school to the traditional all-nightersduring college, I have adjusted to meet my goals.
I’m currently writing the last chapters in my story and the longer it takes me to reach the end, the more trouble I have doing other tasks. I have reduced the amount of books I read, but t...

#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* SEPTEMBER 10-11, 2016 *~*
For some reason, my short stories always take me longer to write than anything else. I think it has to do with trying to tell a complete story in the less amount of words possible and still make it interesting enough. As you see, I’m still working on the same story than last week. And, I’m still in the same place; with three more chapters to go.
After I finish writing this post, I’m planning to do some sprints. Hopefully, I’ll be done at some point.

“Good, good. Bring it here...

Two More Weeks
2016 #ROW80 Round 3:Check-In #19
Well, my big girl panties approach hasn’t been working as expected. My manuscript is moving forward, just at a slower pace. I have only three chapters to go, and I hope to be done this week. It’s one of those stories in which I know exactly what I want to happen in it, but I just don’t have the drive to write it. Plus, I’m dreading the next story I have on cue.
Not much else to say, for now…
