#RainbowSnippets *~* November 19-20, 2016 *~*

Last week we read Scott’s thoughts about his sexuality. Today, we get to see Patrick’s sexualityresponding to Scott’s. Just a fun snippet before release day, November 21st.

He blinked slowly, registering the words those lips let through. He shook his head again and lost his balance, bringing Mr. Gorgeous down with him. Fuck, he needed to get laid. He didn’t waste time pushing Mr. Scott aside and trying to stand up, but his shoe got snagged on his own coat, making him fall on the other man’s l...

Knowing Your Characters

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #13

Funny thing about knowing your characters… I normally don’t.

Before I can start writing a story, I need to know three essential things: the two MCs names & the book title. Without those, I can’t write a single word. I try to know my characters age as well since I write mostly about middle-aged men. Other than that, I let the characters tell me everything about them. And sometimes, by the end of the story, I still don’t know every fact.

I realized that today m...

Slow, Steady, and Waiting…

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #12 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #38

This was a week full of surprises that killed my writing & reviewing schedule. I have been working, slowly but steadily. I did take care of some promotion for my upcoming release, Tow Trucks & New Year’s Kisses, though. The ARCs are out to reviewers, and the release date is November 21st.

Tomorrow I’m planning to go back to business and try to get on track. I have a short story to finish before the end of the month, and some rev...

#RainbowSnippets *~* November 12-13, 2016 *~*

It’s been a while since I stop by and take part of #RainbowSnippets, but real life has been hectic. Looking at the big picture I realized that my issues are irrelevant in comparison to the changes happening in the country.

So today, I choose a snippet from my upcoming release, Tow Trucks & New Year’s Kisses, in which one of my main characters talks about his sexuality. I hope Happy Ever Afterscontinue to be part of our everyday lives, in and out of our stories.

Having everyone going out of th...

Backup Plan

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #10 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #37

Last week didn’t go according to plan, but I’m okay with that. Getting into November, I knew my #NaNoWriMo aspirations were perhaps too high.Last year, I did 55K words in twenty-three days, but I was pretty clear about my story and characters before the start. Plus, real life was smooth sailing. This year, RL had been playing games and trying to be difficult. Things are starting to normalize, and I’m starting to get back into the...

The Magical Blurb

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #9

Today’s day two of #NaNoWriMo and I have zero motivation to write. I know the basics about my story and my characters, but the main conflict still a puzzle. I’m not a pantsteror even a plotter. I simply like to have an idea to guide my story. Most times, just writing two or three words for each plot point is enough. I write by scenes–ideas I would like to see coming to life.

I have at least two of those already set, but I’m still waiting for everything to clic...

#NaNoWriMo Preview

It’s that time of the year again. Not Christmas, but NaNoWriMo–National Novel Writing Month. The purpose of the event is to write a brand-spanking new, 50K words novel in one month, but that’s not what I’m doing. This year, I’m being a #NaNoRebel. I’m planning to write a 10K words short story, and a 40K novella. In reality, the short story is my priority, and I’ll work in the novella later on the month.

Below you will see the face claims for A Demon’s Duty to the Devil’s Son. Elliott and Vincen...

October ’16 Recap

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #8 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #36

October was an interesting month. Real life kept interfering, but at the same time, I covered a lot of ground. I completed three rounds of edits for my 2017 release, and now just have to wait for the galleys and proof to comeback before I get my release date. I’m still waiting for the cover samples too.

There’s still sometime left to do some more planning for NaNo. Plus, I need to send an outline for a book proposal I submitted l...
