Book Blurb
When he received a frantic call from his older sister, the last thing Jonah Jacobson expected to hear was that Madison Bishop was having a makeover emergency. Her brother-in-law was the epitome of a lumberjack—from the flannel shirts and unkempt beard to the broad build and mud wrestling titles. But when Jonah arrived to the rescu...

Meeting my New Characters

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #7

This week is moving along pretty quickly. I’m catching up nicely and getting ready for NaNoWriMo. Instead of writing a 50K words novel, I’m working on two stories.

First, a short story about the Devil’s son falling in love with a demon, which I’m planning to submit for an anthology. I created the Pinterest board for this story about a year ago when I came up with the title after seeing a picture. I’m glad I can finally work on it and it’s going to be a little...

Last Week of Planning

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #6 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #35

This week was a wash in relation to new writing. I’m still plotting and outlining my next three stories. I doubt I’ll do any writing this week since I caught a cold and had been in bed for the last two days. Hopefully, by the end of the week, I’d be able to catch up. I did complete the second round of edits for my 2017 release and gave the approval to the cover for my holiday story. And this Friday, my short BDSM stories will be...

Updates, of the Updates, of More Updates

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #5

I think I had blogged about nothing else but writing updates for the last couple of weeks. And it’s probably going to stay like that until December or January. So please, bear with me. I know there are going to be some release announcements, and some book cover reveals too in the near future.

I’m pushing the start of my next story until next week to concentrate on plotting. Ireceived another set of edits for a different story and worked on that for the last co...

Characterization Edits & Plans

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #4 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #34

I worked on some of the tasks I had scheduled for this week, but I spent most of my time working on the second set of edits for my 2017 novella release.

I don’t get attached to my characters/stories. After I submit them, I tend to move over to the next project. I do need to admit that I had to search for the name of my characters when I got the edits back. I do remember the stories and the details, but the names are a different b...

Multitasking

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #3

I had been using a teachers’ school planner for the last two weeks, and it has worked well so far. I have other agendas I used in conjunction, but having everything from life events to writing commitments in one place lets me see how much I’m accomplishing and when I have been procrastinating.

The plan for today is to write this post, to start with and then, I’m working on the two projects I’m planning. The afternoon will be dedicated to the second round of ed...

The Week Ahead & Other Plans

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #2 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #33 I liked the way everything is falling into place for this round. It started strong, and I was able to take some time off to be with my family since it’s a long weekend here in the US. I did two book reviewsand some basic planning, though. One thing I’m doing differently this time, it’s using my Sunday post to plan the rest of my week. To set smaller goals to be more accountable for my time. I do have the time to do better. I ju...

A Productive Start

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #1

The last two days have been productive. I used part of Monday to get organized and finished some loose ends.

I have written three blog posts, including my updates. Reviewed two books, revised and submitted the final blurb draft for my novella, and worked & emailed the first set of structural edits for the same story.

For the rest of the afternoon, I’m planning to review one more book and plot a proposal. If I find the story viable, then I’ll write it tomorrow...

On Your Mark, Get Set, #Row80

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Goal Post

One last quarter left to reach our goals during 2016. So far, this has been a very productive year for me. I have signed three contracts so far, and if everything goes as planned, I should have one to three more before the end of the year.

I’m going to keep my goals this time simple. I have some new short stories to work on, as well as some re-writes, and production edits. But in the end, these smaller goals will add to the overall picture.

And we can’t forget t...
