#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* AUGUST 13-14, 2016 *~*
This has been a busy week with real life interfering at every turn, but I was able to write a bit about Madison and Stewart. It’s kind of tricky to find the right snippet since it’s a BDSM story, but I hope you enjoy Stewart’s predicament.Madison is the brother of Stewart’s brother-in-law.
Today’s six sentences are the unedited opening to the story. Since it’s based on a prompt, I’m integrating some of the prompt writer’s words. I’m planning on a big fluff with a total power exchange in the b...

Getting the Perfect Cover
2016 #ROW80 Round 3:Check-In #11
I have spent the last three days trying to figure out what I’d like to see on the cover of my upcoming novella.I created the covers for all my previous stories, and this is the first time I need to tell someone else what I’m looking for. The problem is that I don’t know what I want.
My publisher provided me with a lot of information to start the process, and my input is going to be essential to the final cover. I’m looking forward to working with their art de...

New Beginnings
2016 #ROW80 Round 3:Check-In #10 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #26
Tomorrow will mark the start of another short story, or so I hope. Like I mentioned in my last update, I’m working on getting up-to-date on my reviews, beta critiques, and all those things we ignore when we are on our writing mode. I’m almost done and looking forward to diving into my new characters.
Also, my Holiday short story found its home. I haven’t answered the acceptance email, yet, but I liked how detail it was. I think...

#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* AUGUST 6-7, 2016 *~*
Well, I’m not supposed to be working on this story until the last part of the month, but the other morning, Stewart and Madison decided to give me an outline as an excuse to cut in front of the line. I wrote it down, in hopes to distract them until it was their turn, but it didn’t work.
This weekend, I was planning to work on the outline for the MF story I wanted to write first, but instead, I woke up to Stewart telling me about a pivotal scene in the third chapter of their story. I guess it’...

The Calm Before the Storm
2016 #ROW80 Round 3:Check-In #9
Right now I’m between projects. I completed the first round of edits with my publisher for one of my stories but still have to integrate some beta comments to another before sending it in. And my next deadline isn’tuntil September 15th when my two BDSM stories are due.
I’m using this downtime to do all those pesky things that can become a nuisance when I’m in my writing mode. Pending book reviews, website updates, book & series planning, and the list goes on an...

Monday Flash Fics – Laurie’s Dream – 8/01/2016
Laurie’s Dreams
“Wake up, love. Wake, up.”
“Hey,” a sleepy Laurie responded. “What time is it?”
“Three in the morning, but you were giggling in your sleep. And then, you started laughing and crying.”
“Oh, God, yes!”
“See, just like that,” Steven said, gesturing towards his fiancé.
“I’m sorry, babe. I know you have to be at work in a couple of hours. I think it was all that talk about walking down the aisle we had today.”
“You know, we have eight months to plan the whole thing. Right?”
“I kno...

July ’16 Recap
2016 #ROW80 Round 3:Check-In #8 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #25
I blinked, and July was over. I didn’taccomplish as much as I planned, but I finished my charity short story and got it contracted. It should be release at the end of August. The other two stories I started are now waiting for further inspiration.
Overall, it was a slow and easy month with a lot of small tasks completed. I’m hoping to finish all the loose ends by Tuesday so I can dive into my next short story starting Wednesday.

#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* JULY 30-31, 2016 *~*
I know I said last week’s snippet was going to be the last one from Raffled Kiss, but I got my first round of edits from DSP overnight and had to share. I promise to move to a different story next week.
He tried to hide his happiness, but a flustered Ford was a sight to behold. If only he could see it. It was moments like this when he hated the distance between them. He craved his husband by his side. This had been the longest separation since they’d met at age fourteen. Not even the eight we...

Monday Flash Fics – Clothes – 7/25/2016
Clothes
“Can you put some clothes on!”
“Why? It’s an oven in here, and the repairman isn’t coming ‘til two.” Ignoring Miles, I leaned against the window, the only cool spot left in our apartment. All the AC units across the courtyard mocked me as if knowing the hell I was trapped in.
“Exactly my point! I need to go to work, and I don’t want to return to a Dear Johnletter telling me you eloped with the handyman.”
“Then, get over here and blow me, lover boy,” I said, turning towards Miles.
“Oh...

Shelving My Darlings
2016 #ROW80 Round 3:Check-In #6 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #24
Remember that story I talked about during my last update? Yup, the one I had only five more chapters to complete. Well, it’s now shelved; for the second time this year. I don’t like to kill my darlings, but I do put them aside often.
What happened? My main characters decided to kiss for the first time at the end of chapter two instead of chapter five as indicated on my basic outline. Therefore, the story had no plot or UST left....
