Productivity and Plans

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #17 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #41

I’m finishing a short story before I can actually sit downto plan my plans for 2017. I have several ideas of how I want the year to go. Looking at the previous two to three years, I noticed January throughMay are my most productive months, and I want to take advantage of them. For some reason, as the summer get here, I get less productive. I think it has to do with the kids’ school schedule and their birthdays taking place in th...

#RainbowSnippets *~* December 3-4, 2016 *~*

This week’s snippets takes up rightafter last week’s. A little more of Elliott’s perspective about human living.

At two-hundred-and thirty-three the last thing he felt was young. Jaded, bored, and lonely were better descriptors. But the middle-aged hotty had been great playing the daddy role for Elliott, even reducing the closing costs after a couple of satisfying blowjobs.

Why he still needed to pretend being human was beyond his comprehension. He should be seated at his father’s right inste...

November Blues

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #17

I want a raincheck for November and I want it now! *add J.G. Wentworth voice over*. Thishas been the most challenging month so far. I’m glad the year is almost over. I’m definitely looking forward to started over in 2017.

Writing wise, December should be an easy month since I’m only putting the finishing touches on a short story, and getting my business plan ready for next year.I’ll take some time as well to update my website and set up a newsletter. Overall,...

The Power of Routines

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #15 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #40

I wrote my last updated, Review Loving, early in the morning. Today’s is happening after 10:30pm even when I’ll adjust the posting time to show and earlier time. Why is this relevant? Because I love routines and to-do lists.

Earlier today, I took part of #RWChat–a weekly chat for Romance & Women’s Fiction Writers every Sunday at 4pm PST | 7pm EST–on Twitter, and the topic was self-awareness. Their opening message asked about our...

#RainbowSnippets *~* November 26-27, 2016 *~*

November has been a challenging month for my muse, but this scene has been the only constant. I don’t think it’s going to be part of the final cut, but the main idea would remain. I’m still contemplating the direction this story wants to go but I’m letting the characters control the ride. No outlines, no planning, just their words. Will see what happens in the end.

As soon as the door closed behind him, Elliott started removing all the contraptions he needed to play human. The twenty-eight de...

Review Loving

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #15

Morning, sunshines! It’s been a while since I write a post early in the morning. Everyone in the house still asleep, and I’m having my coffee to start the day. One of the first things I do every day is to see if I got any new reviews.

I’m not talking about the ones I have to write, which are two for today, but the ones my books received. Some authors don’t like to read reviews for many reasons, but I love to see what my readers thought about my stories–good o...

Separation Anxiety? Nah.

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #14 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #39

As I mentioned many times during the last weeks, tomorrow is the release day for my new short story, Tow Trucks & New Year’s Kisses. I’m not too concern about it because I believe in the story, but most importantly because I already moved forward.

Yes, I still need to work on the marketing and getting others to believe in my story too, but it’s almost like having an ex you’re friends with. It’s great to tell your friends how goo...
