The End…At Last…

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:End Post

From all the goals I had for this round, the only one I achieved was to completed the production edits for my 2017 release. I didn’t write a single usable word this quarter and I’m okay with that.

What I learned is that I don’t work well with deadlines. If I have a date to submit a story, I’d wait to the last minute to work on it. I love procrastination and my ADD get even worse when I know I need to finish a project. I don’t have that problem with edits. I love t...

Christmas from Bad to Worse.

I first met Lila on the M/M Romance Group in 2014. From memory, we hung out in the author support thread for the Don’t Read in the Closet event. In 2015, we found ourselves not only participating again, but both of us picked up two stories for the event, and both of us wrote a merman themed story. The coincidences don’t end there. Lila an...

Last Rowing Sunday

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #22 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #43

I’m writing today’s update from my daughter’s computer. Mine was stolen two years ago, and I took over my husband’s instead of buying a new one. Then yesterday, the fan stopped working on his. Did I mention Ithe proofs for my 2017 release were due yesterday too?

So you can imagined the last twenty-four hours had been hectic. The kids are working on their end-of the year projects, and we are trying to prepare for the holidays.

I...

The last three snippets are now morphing into the start of A Demon’s Duty to the Devil’s Son. If you want to see some of my inspiration you can visit the Pinterest board for this story here.

Week 4 of 52: Elliott’s POV

“Your High—”

Without a thought, Elliott had his father’s lackey by the throat, pressed immobile against the floor—his left inner-thigh touching the outside of Vincent’s leg and his right ankle by the other as he half-squatted, half-knelt over the large demon. He didn’t startle...

Reaching Out to Our Readers

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #21

One thing I love about being a writer is to interact with my readers. Sometimes it’s difficult since I don’t comment on reviews, even when I read them all. Plus,I don’t have more than a handful of followers.Even so, I like to talk books, a lot. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons I have continued working as a reviewer. That way, I can interact with readers, no matter we aren’t talking about my stories.

I have many social media outletsand I am pretty active in m...

Picking the Right Story

2016 #ROW80 Round 4:Check-In #20 |10 Minute Novelist: Update #42

For the last couple of weeks, I have been trying to write a short story.I think I started like three times already, and that’s without counting the other two to three ideas I put aside.

Everything had worked fine with all the stories. The problem is getting interested enough in one ofthem to see it through. I think I still trying to find my style, and that’s what’s stopping me from moving forward.

I have the names, ideas, etc. f...

#RainbowSnippets *~* December 10-11, 2016 *~*

Since my WIP is not cooperating and I don’t know where this story wants to go, I decided to keep it as a year long project. I started two weeks ago, which works perfectly with a 52 weeks schedule. From now on, anduntil November of next year, all my snippets are going to be about Elliott, and later on, his future partner Vincent.

I do know what they are, their ages, and what they do. Now I have a year to see how they would get their HEA. I’m estimating the whole thing to be somewhere around 28...

Two More Weeks of #ROW80

2016 #ROW80 Round 4: Check-In #19

There are only two weeks left in this round of #ROW80 and I’m looking forward to the end of it. November was a washout of a month and December isn’t looking any better. So my goal for the next two weeks is to finish my short story and submit it. And, to write eleven book reviews. After that, it’s quiet time until the new year. Yes, I’ll write so extra reviews and plan some stories, but nothing with a deadline.

Talking about deadlines, next year, I’m planning...
