The Case of the Missing Ruby Yaya Dress…
In January I bought this dress on eBay.
The postman claimed it was delivered on January 16th at 10:51 am.
I got home at 1:10 pm and checked the mailbox…There was nothing there.
I jumped online to eBay and saw it had been delivered. I went back outside and checked everywhere. The mailbox, over the side fences, even in the power box at the side of the house where a postie had left previous packages.
All to no avail. It just wasn’t there.
So I contacted Australia Post and told them the parcel wasn’t here. After five weeks of weekly phone calls, being told I was entitled to compensation, then getting emails from them telling me I wasn’t entitled to compensation and then having those emails contradicted by more emails, I finally got compensation. I had the full amount plus postage refunded by money order.
I got the money, but I wanted the dress. So clearly someone else is wearing a free dress and I hope the bitch has bad karma because of it, because it wasn’t delivered to my house like the postie claimed. And if it was, it was stolen from the mail box which means they entered our yard and took it from the box.
Scumbags!
So I’ll try and track down another and hope I have more luck…
Have you guys ever had something “delivered” yet never received it, and did you get compensation?

Introducing My New Book Series: Poems Of A Musical Flavour!
It all started in 1989 with a dream…
I wanted to be Australia’s answer to Debbie Gibson. I wanted her house, her car, her Swatch Watches…
I was 15 years old and sang in my end of year 10 musical in high school…
I wanted to be a singer and songwriter…
One of those dreams came true…
Sort of…

New White Jewels
Over December / January I came across a bunch of sales online as well as scored some vintage pieces off ebay and there will be more to come across the year I’m sure.
These two Samantha Wills pieces.
The Faye Dunaway necklace for $41.70, and the Zeta bangle in white for $38.50.
The gold and white set above contains Samantha Wills Grand Sabine earrings, the rest came from the seller. For these five pieces it was $164.
Below are two awesome silver/white necklaces/chokers, both $10 each from online store Adorne as seen on the models below. Not sure what I’ll do with them, maybe wear them, maybe turn them into couture pieces.
What jewels did you guys buy over the Christmas period?

HEALTH & BEAUTY: Three New Perfumes for 2017
Over the November/December period I bought a few perfumes. I can go through some quickly, others take a while. I try to wear them around the house, the better ones out.
Agent Provocateur Fatale is a good one for going on. Similar to Diesel XS but stronger and spicier, and comes in an awesome red bottle.
Next was Calvin Klein’s CK One Shock. Light and frangranty it’s nice for a summer’s day.
Then came this one I found late last year. Whatever It Takes by Pink. I don’t know if it actually is by Pink or a company using her name and image for their perfumes. It’s nice, light, fragrant, and comes in an awesome bottle and box. It slides out…and she donated the artwork.
What scents have you guys been wearing lately?

And then there’s capes and kimonos…..
I scored a few nice kimonos over the Christmas period, normally I don’t, having only bought 2 in 2016, I added these late in the year.
This awesome fish kimono looked more peachy on ebay but it’s a gorgeous pale pink. It also…goes with my fish tshirt! And it was only $23.50
I got this gorgeous jungle cape late in the year too. For $100 it’s gorgeous and goes with my short kaftan top. I gotta smile more in pics.
This year I managed to get this colourful Kalypso kimono. Apparently it’s a twist and knot, as it came knotted, and when you wash and dry it you twist and knot it. Personally, I think it makes it looked creased and I want to iron it.
And then I got this gorgeous navy and red rose kimono. It’s a lovely light material, cool wash, beautiful on. $43.65 from ebay
What capes/kimonos/jackets have you guys gotten over the holidays?

Summer Kaftan Style
Here we are once again, the few few months of a year and we’re talking about kaftans. I am now up to almost two months worth of kaftans so we’re climbing the ladder.
I hadn’t bought any all year, mainly since I buy them late in the year, mainly December/January in the sales.
Let’s start with this stunningly gorgeous blue and yellow feather kaftan top. $100 from eBay, the same seller I got most of last year’s kaftans from.
Next comes this Blue Bungalow jungle kaftan. It all depends on how tall you are as to whether this is a dress or top. I’m 5″8 so you can see how long it is on me. I’ll definitely need a pair of pants. $77.90
A gorgeous swing top from eBay. $55
I cannot believe how gorgeous the kaftans from my seller are. I love this one, look at the birdie! $180
And this geometric colour is gorgeous too. $100 from my ebay seller.
Did you guys splurge on clothing over summer/winter?

MY STYLE: February’s Style
This is February’s Style.
The outfits I wore in the month of Feb. It seems to be a monthly thing now as there’s some other posts I want to get out this year and my outfits are, so far, coming once a month. The good thing about doing outfit posts and taking pics, is you get to see what does and doesn’t work on your body shape or skin tone. Not that I’m going to throw clothes out because they don’t quite look right, I’ll just wear them another way. And while I’m in the process of losing weight, I really need to stand straighter…and smile more…
And I want to preface this post by saying all of these clothes, and all I wear, are mine and not “gifted” except by me to me…..lol

My yearly clothing, accessory and jewellery audit
Time to talk about clothing and accessories. I did my yearly audit and here are the results.
CLOTHING: 531 pieces in total. 23 new pieces for 2016, no idea how many thrown out. Some clothes here, here, and here. If a top, like a cotton tank or tshirt, has had its day then I use it for a rag.
ACCESSORIES: 449 pieces in total. 3 new handbags, 1 clutch, and loads of new shoes very early in the year boots, heels, others, frankies. Plus threw some stuff out. If it cannot be saved or used for something else, out it goes.
JEWELLERY: 2032 pieces in total. 30 new pieces for 2016. Some of which are yet to be seen as I bought them in December. If anything breaks I fix it or it goes in the jewel box for making into something else.
I stuck to my 2014/2015 pledge of no black AT ALL and have not bought black clothing, accessories or jewellery since even though I’ve seen a few nice things. What I did buy last year was colourful clothing from Millers and some boots in navy suede. What I bought late last year was more kaftans. What I’ve bought already this year are my 3rd and 4th pieces of Camilla plus some awesome kimonos. All coming in the next few weeks.
