Interference

image

To stumble upon a scene as this
Serenity waiting for human foot
None a ripple in stillness to see
Pilgrimage’ fruition, nomad eyes

Though to capture peace as this
A lens only the beholder may see
Desire for rising sun is quenched
Man’s noble attempt for memory

Devices define every sight past
Tell where our boots have been
To obscure such a place as this
Sun’s interference is all that lasts

Marigold Ink

image

If I sketch the sunset falling behind
Marigolds will do for its fiery dive
Peonies and Cosmos yet to find
To accent her aura rising above
Blotting out the darkened horizon
Leaving beauty’s glow to outshine

Lead Me

4616997151_10c21516a9_b

Seemed only tall shadows marked the night

I stood among them to arouse my higher sense

In search of one to lead me back to the center

Where she resides, my sweet muse immense

.

As if in disfavor of the moon for my sight

None a soul appeared to lead the way back

A sign perhaps that this one mustn’t exist

That the darkness, my isolation will persist

.

I squint through the canopy, squeezing light

Pin prick stars dot the spaces sparse between

They hold no answers as to what I would find

Mere pi...

In Hope

image

Thumbing through the pages
I hope you find the romance
The embrace you’re without
Wisdom poured from his mouth
May he erase your doubt
The lonely
Dispassionate fantasy
Never was your life
Spend it on the mirage

To Want The War

You want war, so take it

Offenders of the saints are everywhere

Enemies of good standing side by side

With war there is nowhere to hide

You’ll certainly find them on the news

Next door, neighbor whore

Side street dirty man sleeps

Easy pickings for your casual hate

Everyone knows bullets aren’t only lead

In this war no one will be found dead

Only in spirit, demeanor and will

Speeches orated by steamrollers and tanks

Seem to be lowered stakes

Judges with no pedigrees

Killing with higher taste

Sips

image

Locked outside, hot sunny day
Thirst is growing, water leaving
Lucky it rained, skin was burning
Green thumb sore from digging

The lilys are booming, flowery
Leaves big as tropical bounty
Forgot the reason I’m outside
Sips to replenish, I remember

Dizzy wanes, it all comes clear
She sent me out here, my dear
Thought I might suffer the heat
But a clever boy never retreats

The way I said it struck me guilty
How she heard it was not funny
With a smirk, I submit and step
Outside in the summer...

Transportation

image

Around here, the local government often mentions that they are using our tax dollars efficiently. That usually means cutting out things that people need, first.

Since this picture doesn’t tell the entire story, one might be led to believe that the inmates are riding in the trailer, and not in the van that is pulling it.

I think this typifies one of their methods, if only metaphorically. :)

Beat Break

stock-video-premium-video-background-hd0018-6494

This is a song with no end, repeating, replaying and again repeating. The beginning is the end is the beginning. It is a loop of loops strung together with invincible stride and moderate pace. I hear a guitar and memorized its notes. There is a lazy bass line carrying the low end as if it would rather be anywhere but in the loop; the job is being carried out in perpetuity nonetheless. The beat has enough shifts entwined to hold it hostage in your ears but still comes back around and settles...
