Quotes to Inspire You to Reach Your Goals
The following quotes are from six metaphysical authors that I admire. One of the seven quotes is from my book Personal Growth Affirmations. Enjoy the journey towards your goals.

Don’t ever think it’s too late for you or that you’re too old to dream and have goals.
~ Louise L. Hay
Remember challenges are opportunities to grow. They would not be offered if you were not ready.
~ Diana Cooper
Every time you replace a fearful thought with a loving thought, you make the world a better place.
~ Denise Linn
Be willing to dance the victory dance as if your greatest dreams are realized, and watch how easily things fall into place.
~ Colette Baron-Reid
Clear focus is the mind’s magic wand. It points your creativity in a particular direction and channels your experience behind it. Wherever you clearly focus, you create.
~ Sonia Choquette
Every time you have a desire, in a certain sense you have a goal, something you would like to be, do, or have. Some desires are merely passing fancies, but others stay with us and go deeper. Our desires and our goals give us direction and focus. They help point us down our path of action in our life.

What This Author Learned About Kickstarter
I’d like to share what this author learned about Kickstarter for anyone thinking about doing a campaign. It would be wonderful if an author could put a campaign on Kickstarter, eat bonbons, and do nothing while people back their project. If only! Kickstarter is a lot of work.
What This Author Learned About KickstarterThere was much research to be done before I put Dream Interpretation for The Mystical Soul on Kickstarter. I’m grateful I took the time to do this for my first campaign because it’s very apparent when someone doesn’t know what they are doing on the platform. Especially when they make their Kickstarter all about them. Few people care if you need money to publish your book, rather they want to know what’s in it for them.
My ResearchThese are the steps I took to comprehend the Kickstarter platforms:
Searched blogsRead booksWatched videosStudied the help section and campaigns on KickstarterBacked campaigns to learn what and what not to doWhat helped me the most was joining the Kickstarter for Authors Facebook group. In this group, you will find wisdom from experienced authors. Plus, I found the feedback on each other’s campaigns (before going live) extremely helpful and fun.
Setting Up My Kickstarter’s PageIt was time-consuming for me to:
Write and edit material for the pageCreate images for the pageSet up the pageI spent most of the day setting up my page. Some of the images didn’t look right, so I needed to redo them. And there were other adjustments to make.
Then I found some of Kickstarter’s tech stuff confusing. This took time to figure out.
Marketing Before the Kickstarter Went LiveKickstarter recommends prelaunching your Kickstarter on their platform a month or more before it goes live to collect followers. Why? These followers are notified once your campaign is live, thus making it easier to fund the first day.
Some of my friends, family members, and colleagues helped spread the word. I did my best to educate people about what Kickstarter really is through social media posts, articles, blogs, podcasts, and newsletters.
My KickstarterFor my first Kickstarter, I kept my rewards simple: eBook, two meditation MP3s, PDF bookmarks, and three dream interpretation services. I didn’t do physical products because shipping isn’t my thing. That’s one of the reasons I closed down my Etsy shop a while back. I also kept the goal low to make it easier to fund and go over.
Honestly, I knew it was a risk doing a dream interpretation campaign because:
In the ‘all categories’ of dream interpretation, 5 out of 15 fundedIn the ‘publishing category’ of dream interpretation, 1 out of 3 fundedI got these statistics after my Kickstarter funded. Hopefully, these categories will improve.
Here’s What This Author Learned about KickstarterEven a small campaign can be exciting and so stressfulThe video I created for my campaign worked well for marketing on social mediaSome people I asked were generous about sharing my campaign, others not so muchI could explain how Kickstarter is not GoFundMe fifty times and some people still won’t get itMany think that once you funded, that’s it, ah, no, authors desire to go way beyond their funding goalWhat a relief it was when my campaign was overResults of My First KickstarterIn case you are wondering, these are my results:
My goal of$300.00 funded at $416.00The conversion rate was 33% of those who followed the campaign.Backers were family, colleagues, a client, and a few newbies. All payments went through, yay!FYI Just because someone backs your campaign doesn’t mean they won’t cancel their pledge or their payment will go through.
Is It Worth Doing a Kickstarter?Perhaps you’re thinking all that work and all you raised is $416.00? Well, it’s better than not funding, which happens. And the money helps cover the cost of creating the book. As many Indie authors know books cost money to produce and there’s no guarantee that your book will make a profit. I’m not too proud to admit how one of my books is still in the red.
Yes, Kickstarter is worth the time, research, and stress. Some authors love it, while others will never do it again. The authors who are well-known with a large fan base have raked in thousands to millions of dollars. Please note, for the average Indie author it can take time and doing several campaigns before the BIG money rolls in.
Whatever the outcome of your campaign, you can continue to earn money from the bookstores and/or your own site.
Preorder My BookDream Interpretation for the Mystical Soul is now available for preorder. Visit my book page for links to your favorite bookstore.

Interview with the Marvelous Ruth Soltman
I’m excited for you to read the interview with the marvelous Ruth Soltman! What I love about Ruth, besides being an author, is her desire to help people with their spirituality and to grow… May her spiritual journey inspire your own!
Interview with the Marvelous Ruth SoltmanHave you always been into healing and spirituality? If not, how did it come about?Yes, as an adult I have, although I didn’t recognize and acknowledge it within myself for quite a while. I was raised Catholic and that had a huge impact on my younger years. As I got older, things began to not make sense anymore. I began to question everything.
Sometime in the 1990s, I read Neale Donald Walsch’s book, Conversations with God Book 1, and it blew me away. Every word he wrote resonated deeply within me. My world felt like it was crumbling around me. I realized that everything I grew up knowing no longer resonated with me. This is when my Spiritual Awakening began. It has been a magnificent journey to remembering who I am.
I love that and it’s amazing how a book can change the direction of your life. You use words to help people heal through your books. Can you take us through your writing process? In the beginning, my process was a bit different than it is now. I would get messages…sometimes words, ideas, phrases…and I would write them down. Then when I was ready to write my first book, I had pages and pages of notes to go through, trying to put things in some sort of order. It was quite a challenge. I learned from that process.
For all of my future books, I designed my format and chose my chapter titles first. Then as I sat down to write, the information began to flow through me immediately. Through the process, I have learned to trust the information Spirit sends me. I have learned to tap into it much more efficiently.
Do you plan to continue writing books? If yes, what will your next book be about?Yes. I plan on writing for as long as I am guided. My fifth book, Practical Spirituality Living a Spiritual Life in a Human Body will be released soon. It will help guide others through this journey we call life. I have already been inspired for my next book after that and for a series of children’s books.
Wow! Children’s books! That sounds like fun. What other types of healing work do you do?I am an Angelic Reiki Practitioner, Reiki Master Teacher, and I do Spiritual Intuitive/Psychic Card Readings. I also host a LIVE weekly show, The Transformational Soul on Goldylocks Productions.
One more question, Ruth, how can people get in touch with you?You can contact me through my website www.ruthsoltman.com or email me at iamruthsoltman@gmail.com

Writing for Healing, Empowerment, and Fun
When I think about writing for healing, empowerment, and fun, the hashtag #mustwrite comes to my mind. For myself and others, writing is as important as breathing. To write is to remove the clutter from our minds. To write is to free ourselves from the untold thoughts and stories we have inside of us.
Writing for Healing, Empowerment, and FunThere are different goals for writing, and I’ll go over some of them.
JournalingObviously, there are many types of journals: travel, diary, food, gratitude, and much more. I will focus on two types.
Healing JournalA healing journal is where write about your troubles, your vulnerabilities, and your feelings. This is a great place to write what I call an FU Letter. In this letter, you let it all hang out towards a person who has upset you. You can swear, call them impolite names, and state how felt about their behavior. Just don’t send it to them. Instead, allow a week or two to pass, then reevaluate if you need to send them the letter. If you do, then rewrite it in an appropriate manner.
It’s also a place where you can use incorrect spelling and grammar. The main point of a healing journal is to get whatever is bothering you out of your head/body/emotions and onto paper. This will heal and free you.
Dream Interpretation JournalIt’s very easy to forget your dreams upon awakening, which is why it’s important to have a dream journal by your bed. When you write down your nighttime dreams, you have a record of them where you can practice interpreting them, and become better at dream interpretation. This is especially useful when you think you have a dream about the future. If it comes true, then you have proof.
I wrote a free eBook, Got Dreams, Discover Your Ideal Dream Journal, if you need more information about dream journaling.
Short Style of Writing for Healing, Empowerment, and FunWhat do I mean by a short style of writing? Poetry, short stories, articles, blogs, and columns. All these writing methods bring about your creativity and are fun. Depending on your topic, it can also be healing and empowering.
These styles of writing are a great way to practice and improve your writing skills. Sometimes it will be easy to write, while at other times it’s tough. The more you write, the better writer you become. Before long, you will feel confident enough to show others and the public your writing.
BooksThe next HUGE step is to write a book. Numerous blogs, articles, and books cover how to write, publish, and market your book. I suggest to research writing techniques and the different methods of publishing and marketing before, during, and after writing your book.
It’s important to write on a topic and style that makes your heart sing, not what the market wants. If you write about what the market wants, there’s a possibility you may make more money. However, in time, writing for what others want, instead of what you desire to write about, will become unfulfilling to you. Whatever genre you choose to write about, avoid rushing the process, and allow the time it takes to write your masterpiece.
Final ThoughtsYou will never regret the time spent writing for healing, empowerment, and fun. Somewhere out there, someone needs to read your words. Your words have power, even if you only help change one person’s life.
Below you will find two of my colleague’s books about writing. Please click on the image to learn more.
Plus, my Kickstarter campaign ends November 7, 2023, at 9 am Eastern.

Our Alligator Adventure
Our Alligator Adventure in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA was interesting and so much fun even though it was our second visit! If you have never been there, I highly recommend you go! If you had a dream about alligators, please read Alligator Dream Meanings.
Pictures of Our Alligator AdventureOn this visit, there is a wider age range with the gators. I separated them into three categories.
Infant AlligatorThere were a bunch of infants there. Here’s a closeup of one.
Infant GatorBaby AlligatorsYes, I do baby talk to all animals, including baby alligators. Here’s a quick video I took on my phone.
Juvenile DelinquentsCheck out this video I took on my phone of most of the juvenile being lazy punks. Yet there are a few delinquents moving around.
White AlligatorPersonally, I think white gators are really cool looking. We interrupted this guy’s nap for a photo shoot and video.
White AlligatorCrocodileCheck at those teeth. I bet they would hurt! A crocodile’s snot is longer and straighter than the alligator’s rounded snot.
Other ReptilesThey have a wide variety of reptiles too. There are all kinds of snakes, lizards, and turtles.
Here’s a video of gigantic turtles eating.
BIG Turtles EatingOther Animals at Our Alligator Adventure
I love the owls, flamingos, parrots, a hyena, lemurs, and other animals they have. Check out these two short videos of bobcats and ostriches.
Two BobcatsTwo OstrichesFinal ThoughtsDid you feel like you joined us during our alligator adventure? I hope it inspires you to go. It’s worth the trip and there are other things to do at Myrtle Beach.
I’m thinking of creating another oracle deck from all the pictures we have. If you would like to create an oracle deck, please read Want to Create an Oracle Card Deck. In the meantime, check out my four decks at the Game Crafter.

What’s Better Tarot or Lenormand?
Before I go into what’s better tarot or Lenormand, I would like to go over three points. The first is neither deck is evil nor the so-called devil’s work. Each card is as harmless as a greeting card. It’s your intention that counts! Let us focus on loving and positive energy for tarot cards and Lenormand cards.
The second point to look at is if someone is highly intuitive and has psychic abilities, why would they use these cards? To BYPASS THE EGO! This is especially true if you’re reading for yourself or someone you love. Your denial can come into play when less favorable information is being presented to you. A card or spread breaks through your denial and ego.
And last but not least, the third point. As an expert dream interpreter, I highly recommend both decks for learning symbolism. One card can have different meanings depending on the question, spread, and area of life. Lenormand and tarot will build your symbolism muscle better than any dream dictionary app.
What’s Better Tarot or Lenormand? Please note that one blog post is not enough to fully learn tarot and Lenormand. Let me give you a brief description of each deck.
Lenormand CardsI went through an intense certification course to become a Certified Lenormand Reader. We used the thirty-six Petit Jeu deck. However, you may choose to use other decks with more cards.

Lenormand cards usually have one symbol per card. Most folks will understand these symbols. For example, the Clover card means good luck. The meaning of the Clover Card can change if you choose to do a spread and what the cards next to it are.

A Lenormand reading gets right to the point and is excellent for everyday questions. Hence the reason readers consider Lenormand good for down to Earth type of questions.
Lenormand has many spreads that you can choose from, such as single lines of three, five, seven, or nine cards, crosses, portraits, and more… These spreads can be read horizontally and vertically from left to right or right to left, in squares, in diamond shapes, and in other formulas. Plus, we can read all spreads in any direction at any point within the spread. This is why one Grand Tableau spread (uses all thirty-six cards) can take an entire afternoon or more to read.
Tarot CardsA friend got me started on tarot in the mid-90s. I learned tarot through self-study, meditating on each card, and a mega amount of practice. One recommendation is to sleep with your deck or individual cards under your pillow or on the nightstand to help the cards seep into your subconscious mind. I had the wildest dreams whenever I slept with my cards!
There are seventy-eight cards in tarot, twenty-two in the Major Arcana, and fifty-six in the Minor Arcana. The Minor Arcana consists of four suits (cups, wands, swords, and pentacles) that contain fourteen cards in each suit.

Tarot is very esoteric, and within every card there are symbols in the background. We can use Tarot for everyday matters, but isn’t always direct, and often the meanings are of a spiritual reference. Let’s use the Sun card where in many decks the card’s picture has a sun, sunflowers, and a child sometimes on a horse. The main meaning of the Sun card is joy. However, during a reading, you’re drawn to the child on a horse and intuitively get that a new project is about to begin. Or the energy of the sunflowers stands out and you interpret its meaning to get out more in order to grow. Of course, the meaning will change depending on the cards next to them.
We read tarot spreads based on a certain layout. For instance, every reader reads the cards in Celtic Cross in the same order. Other spreads are also read in a particular order whether that’s three cards, five cards, horseshoe, or whatever spread.
Tarot vs LenormandSo what’s better tarot or Lenormand? Honestly, it’s a matter of personal taste. Just like eBooks vs paperbacks. Some readers like the Earthiness of Lenormand while others like the esoteric energy of tarot. Either will give you the information you seek, but not in the same manner.
Personally, I think you should learn and experience both. This way, you have two methods of giving readings. Your intuition and psychic abilities will expand using tarot and Lenormand. And it’s fun!
For myself, there are times I use Lenormand more. Other times I prefer using tarot. Often I grabbed my Lenormand and tarot decks before a reading because I know my angels will direct me to which one to use. And sometimes I don’t use any deck cards a reading.
In ConclusionMy wish for you is to expand your psychic gifts and enjoy reading cards, whether you choose tarot or Lenormand. I love to hear your opinions about this in the comments.
Please check out a deck I created, Merlin’s Purrfect Lenormand, in memory of my beloved white cat. If you need a reading, I offer one-hour sessions and psychic readings by email.

My First Kickstarter
I never thought I do a Kickstarter, but here I am preparing for my first Kickstarter. It’s for my upcoming eighth book, Dream Interpretation for the Mystical Soul. There will also be other goodies and bargains.
Angelic and Dream MessageMonths ago, out of the blue, my angel loudly told me, “Do a Kickstarter for your next book.” This message surprised me because I had no intention of doing so. I still had my doubts and asked for a solution dream if this was the right path for me. That night I dreamed:
I was sitting at my desk looking at the computer screen. A voice told me to, “Research Kickstarter.” This felt right, and I began researching it.
My angel’s and dreams’ messages have been spot on before; for example, to stop dyeing my hair. Thus, I began researching Kickstarter, joined the Kickstarter for Authors’ Facebook group, and read a couple of books about it. I’ve backed several campaigns to get a feel for how Kickstarter works, and I learned what to do and what not to do.
Kickstarter is a great platform for authors to go beyond the limits of a bookstore. We can offer our books, services, and other products in a matter that feels right to us. Of course, we need to be ethical and follow the platform’s rules.
Support for for My First KickstarterThe advice for a Kickstarter campaign is to prelaunch your Kickstarter campaign for at least two weeks or more. People are notified as soon as it goes live. If you or someone you know are interested in the book, Dream Interpretation for the Mystical Soul, please follow it here for the latest updates. My plan is for the Kickstarter to go live in mid-October. You can back it for a dollar and receive a Cyber hug and my gratitude. The next tier is the eBook, and the rest of the tiers are a surprise.
My first Kickstarter’s page will go into great detail about the book. Here’s a little teaser:
Would you like to use yoga, meditation, intuition, and different types of card decks to interpret your dreams? Pamela Cummins’ upcoming book Dream Interpretation for the Mystical Soul will teach you how. Plus, recognize if it’s really a dream from the deceased, a dream about the future, and other types of woo-woo dreams.
In ConclusionThere’s something for everyone on Kickstarter. You can find books, card decks, films, comic books, new inventions, and more… Some of these campaigns have items and deals that are only available on Kickstarter. It is fun receiving goodies before the public.
After my campaign, it will be at least three months before the book will be for sale at bookstores without the goodies. I would love to have your support during my first Kickstarter. Either way, I wish you sweet dreams.

Dream about a Marble up My Husband’s Butt
My client laughed and said, “I had a weird dream about a marble up my husband’s butt.” As funny as her dream was, it wasn’t a nonsense dream. All dreams have meaning and need to be analyzed. She was nice enough to let me use the dream for this blog.
The Dream about a Marble up My Husband’s ButtHere’s the dream:
I noticed something reflected off my husband’s butt and realized it was a shiny silver marble. I asked him if he was okay. His response was, “Don’t you worry about it.”
InterpretationsEvery dream has more than one meaning. Let’s go over five dream meanings for this one.
First Interpretation for the Dream about a Marble up My Husband’s ButtMy first thought was her husband was hiding something. It could be money since the marble is silver.
Second InterpretationAnother dream meaning is there is a health issue in her husband’s anus and colon. It might be a reflection of his diet. Or a tumor about the size of a marble.
Third InterpretationGiggle, it could also mean that her husband is a pain in the butt.
Fourth InterpretationThis dream could be a message for my client to stop questioning and worrying about her husband and marriage.
Fifth InterpretationOne of Carl Jung’s theories is everyone and all symbols in a dream are YOU. Therefore, her dream is about her inner male side being blocked. She will shine (like a shiny, silver marble) if she gets unstuck and balances her inner female and male. What I mean by this is to be balanced in her intuition/logic, strength/gentleness, and creations/manifestations.
Final ThoughtsI hope you enjoyed the dream about a marble up my husband’s butt and the five interpretations. I felt compelled to share it because it’s a great example of how even the funniest and shortest dreams have many meanings. Perhaps you can think of another interpretation?
If you need help with a dream interpretation, please check out my one-hour session and dream interpretation by email.
