Selling My eBooks Direct

The first part of this post is about why I’m selling my eBooks direct. Then I’ll explain why I chose to use Fourthwall as my bookstore. Please read whatever part interests you.

Why I am Selling My eBooks Direct

There are two main reasons:

My intuitionIt’s time

For years, make that decades, my business focus was on one-on-one sessions. There was barely enough time to write books, let alone market them.

Recently I let go of the one-on-one sessions. Because I knew it was time to focus on writing and marketing my eBooks. (I still do services by email.)

Marketing Books

Ask anyone who is self-employed, they’ll agree marketing isn’t easy. Most authors prefer to write than market.

There are many methods to market a book. I prefer content marketing, which means writing (or being a guest) on blogs, articles, columns, and newsletters. This educates and helps people while getting the word out about my books and services. I’m all about gentle marketing and not doing a hard sales pitch.

Marketing on Other Platforms

There are so many eBooks on Amazon and other stores hindering an author’s books from being discovered.

Amazon is all about their bottom line. Their stunts have hurt authors. If an author’s eBooks aren’t in Kindle Select (can only sell at Amazon for 90 days) or paying for ads, their books get pushed down to the bottom of the pile.

Other well-known online bookstores are friendlier. However, they’re not as popular. It takes effort to drive readers there.

All major bookstores take a percentage from 30% to 65% and delivery fees. An author does not know who their customers are, and whether they found their books from marketing efforts or the customer stumbled upon them.

Why should I bother with a particular merchant who doesn’t care about me as an author? Does it make sense to spend time and effort to market to other online bookstores who take a nice percentage and do not know how the customer found my eBook?

These were the questions I pondered.

Pamela Cummins BookstorePamela Cummins’ Bookstore

The results of my pondering were I might as well sell eBooks from my shop, too. If I’m going to spend my time marketing, I might as well get a higher percentage of the sales.

Yet more importantly, I’ll have a personal relationship with my readers.

I can also create bundles for my eBooks and meditations!

My eBooks will still be available for readers at their favorite online bookstore. I understand how frustrating it is when a particular eBook isn’t available at my preferred stores.

*Physical books won’t be available at the store. Why? The number one reason is I have five cats. It’s impossible to keep them away from boxes and books. This would be a nightmare for those who are allergic to cats. Ahchoo!

Please check out Pamela Cummins’ Bookstore.

Pamela's Books Must WriteWhy I Used Fourthwall for Selling My eBooks Direct

There are a bunch of choices an author can use as their bookstore. Shopify and WooCommerce are popular. Some authors use Payhip or Gumroad.

All of those have pros and cons. The biggest con for those sites was I would have to deal with VAT tax for Europe and sales tax for every state in the USA! At sixty-two, I’m working smarter, not harder.

Enter Fourthwall

Fourthwall does the sales tax for you! Yay! This gives me more time to serve my cats.

They also have products they ship out to my customers. I bought samples to make sure they are of excellent quality.

Their website is pretty easy to set up, and they have nice templates. It works for me because I don’t need a fancy Shopify shop.

They take 3% and the normal credit card fee, so I get a higher percentage than the online bookstores.

My Last Thoughts

I’m excited about this new chapter! It will be interesting to see where it leads…

You can check out Fourthwall to see if it’s a good fit for your eBooks, art, or whatever. And I’ll be adding a new bundle and other products at Pamela Cummins’ Bookstore soon.

Dream Interpretation Poll

I recently created a dream interpretation poll on LinkedIn and a Facebook group to help me with research for a workbook I am working on. The results were interesting, yet didn’t surprise me.

Results of Dream Interpretation Poll

This was my poll:

Which one troubles you most about dream interpretation?

Remembering your dreams.Finding time to record them.Understanding your dreams. The ResultsOne person voted to find the time to record their dreams.One-third of the votes were for not remembering their dreams.Two-thirds of the votes were for problems understanding their dreams.

Honestly, the results didn’t surprise me. It was still good feedback.

Symbols Mentioned in the Poll

One woman mentioned how she wasn’t sure if it was better to use society symbols’ meaning or what she feels the symbol means. While another mentioned her confusion over how one symbol can have different meanings and which one she should use.

Always go with your intuition, and with what feels right regarding symbols.

Although, one dream can have many meanings. My dream in this post goes into great detail with one dream and its different messages.

Dream Interpretation for the Mystical Soul by Pamela Cummins author Learn MoreConfirmation of Dream Interpretation Poll

This poll confirmed it was important to include dream recall, how to find the time to record them, and exercises to understand dream meanings.

However, their feedback was validation that the people still think the interpretation is from understanding what their symbol means. Whether they find the symbol’s meaning in a dream app or a dream dictionary.

Dream interpretation is more than a symbol.

Your emotion can change a dream’s meaning. As can occurrences from your past, present, and future. Your relationships, beliefs, and so much more.

My future workbook will include exercises with the above to help you interpret your dreams.

This happened!

I’m thrilled to be number one for dream interpretation blogs! What an honor! I couldn’t have done it without my readers, so here’s a thank you hug.🤗

Last Thoughts on Dream Interpretation Poll

I would love your input on what troubles you the most of the three in the poll or anything else.

If you need help with your dream, check out this service. Sweet dreams!

Use Tarot to Interpret Your Dreams

So, can you use tarot to interpret your dreams? Yes. However, you need to be careful. Why? Because just like a dream symbol’s meaning, tarot meanings can differ depending on who is interpreting the cards. And denial can get in the way.

Go Deeper to Use Tarot to Interpret Your Dreams

The following excerpt is from my eighth book, Dream Interpretation for the Mystical Soul.

Sally dreams about a man she just met at a business meeting. He bends down on one knee and pulls out an engagement ring.

Shocked and half asleep, Sally whips out her tarot cards, shuffles, and pulls out the Lovers card. If Sally is just learning tarot, she might think, oh my God, I’m getting married! Or that this man is interested in her as a lover. Although if she is a seasoned tarot practitioner, Sally will realize that the Lovers card is about many types of partnerships, and this could be about business.

Sally’s feelings in the dream are clues to help clarify the Lovers card. When Sally looks at the card, she notices how the man and woman are naked. She thinks back to the dream and ponders how uncomfortable she was when he got down on his knees. The dream’s meaning becomes clearer to Sally not to reveal anything about her work project. Perhaps he wants to take credit for her hard work?

Yet if Sally felt good about this man pulling out the ring, the meaning might be to proceed with this partnership in business or romance.

Dream Interpretation for the Mystical Soul by Pamela Cummins author Click for More Info Did You Spot It?

If you are just reading the name of the card or even using the guidebook, you would take the Lovers card as an actual romance. The Lovers card has more meaning than just a sexual love relationship.

Sure, it is about partnership, but a healthy relationship. It involves being honest, communication, trust, compassion, and all the things involved in a perfect union. It’s also about your issues that you need to work on in order to have a good relationship with another.

Think about it, the dream and the Lovers card need you to go deep within yourself to discover the meaning.

Denial

I always give two or more interpretations when I do an in-depth dream interpretation by email. The reason I do this is that a dream can have more than one meaning, and I want my clients to choose the one they most vibe with. Because I’m psychic, I often know which one is the right one or sometimes it’s all of them. Sadly, a few will go into denial and choose the most positive interpretation.

If Sally desires a relationship more than anything else, or is afraid to be alone. Then she will go into denial, thinking it is her soulmate while disregarding her uncomfortable feeling in the dream.

Emotions

Thankfully, Sally paid attention to her feelings to discover the correct meaning of the dream.

Your emotions in a dream can give symbols, actions, and characters different messages. Again, if Sally was happy in the dream, it would have been a positive dream. If Sally was angry, this man could have represented an ex or someone/something at work she has anger toward.

The same is true with the Lovers card. If you have been single for a long time, then the card can bring up a feeling of yay! If you are going through a terrible divorce, the card could stir up negative emotions.

Add Another Card

Many of you usually use more than one card. Add just one more card, the dream’s meaning will change. For example, watch out if you got the Devil card! Did you get the Two of Cups? That’s a better sign.

Add more cards or do a tarot spread. Whoa, think of all the meanings!

Final Thoughts on to Use Tarot to Interpret Your Dreams

Please note that I’m not saying not to use tarot for dream interpretation. It could help you find a clearer picture of what your dream means. Then again, it could make things more complicated.

What’s important is using tarot cards to go deeper within to discover the message of your dream. My hope is you will go beyond the dream’s meaning to heal obstacles and make positive changes in your life!

It’s Not About You

Remember, it’s not about you when someone makes a rude and critical comment. Who is it about? Read on to discover more.

It’s Not About You It’s About

THEM!

Why? Because it’s their:

MindsetOpinionsBeliefsUnresolved IssuesLife experiencesReligious upbringingCommunity influenceSocial gracesEmotional state of mind

These shape our judgments of others. And the words that come out of our mouths. Here are three examples:

Hurt people will say hurtful things to youInsecure folks will be critical of youKnow-it-alls will attempt to make you look stupid

Sometimes people put their foot in their mouth. I know I’ve done this!

Pamela’s Foot Lesson

Decades ago, I asked a woman how many months pregnant she was. She wasn’t pregnant. Mortified, I muttered an apology and quickly walked away.

This taught me to never assume if a woman is pregnant, instead I’ll allow her to tell me if she is. Plus, I do this in other situations.

psychic email readings Click to Learn More When It Is About You

LOL! Did you think you were off the hook? So, when is it about you?

Your response to people’s words is all about you!

Do you know the old saying sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me? Well, that’s not entirely true. Words can hurt.

Here are your choices on how to respond:

Argue with themSwear at themCreate a boundaryRespond with compassionIgnore themWalk away

The easiest way to stay stuck and go down to their level is to become defensive, then argue, and/or swear at them.
The harder response is to create a polite boundary, respond with compassion, become silent, and/or walk away.

Pamela’s Reaction to Rudeness

Last weekend, my husband and I shared a fancy coffee and treat at Barnes & Noble. We don’t do this often because I don’t want to become prediabetic again and need to keep away from sugar. Plus, it’s easy for me to spend lots of money on books and oracle decks. Cha-ching!

There’s an Asian woman who hangs out in the cafe. She’s friendly and butts into other people’s conversation. I’ll say hello, yet prefer to keep my distance.

When we walked by her, she pointed to my husband and said, “I’ve never seen him before.”

My response was, “He is my husband.”

Then she replied, “I thought he was your son. He looks so young.”

I was stunned by her rudeness!

However, she continued talking about how she hadn’t seen me for a while. I mentioned I stay away from the cafe because all the sugar is so tempting. Then she made some comments on how sugar was good. I just walked away because she didn’t need to know my reasons for staying away from sugar.

My Inner Jersey

I’m from New Jersey, USA and I’ve been living in North Carolina for over a decade. Some Southerners would be shocked at this Damn Yankees’ polite response to her rude comment.

Here are two responses that I fantasize about.

F*ck you, c*ntWe have incest sex all the time

Instead, I took the harder path because I knew it was about her.

It’s obvious that my husband is not my son with his mostly gray beard and salt and pepper hair. I’m a white girl and he’s Asian with some Hispanic.

My husband later said, “That woman needs glasses.”

I could guess about why she made that comment, but the truth is it doesn’t matter. What mattered was my reaction to her words.

Final Thoughts on It’s Not About You

My husband and I had fun teasing each other about me being the momma and him being the baby.

I did a meditation where I let her have it with words and white light to get it out of my system.

For all I know, this might be my karma from when I asked how many months pregnant that lady was from long ago?

May this blog help you remember how a person’s words aren’t about you; it’s about them. To do your best to respond appropriately. And to continue working on yourself to avoid putting your foot in your mouth.

Must Write and Read

Are you like me that you must write and read? For myself, it’s like breathing and I couldn’t live without it. Write, breathe, read, breathe, write…

In this post, I’ll go over why reading and writing help you become a better writer, how it’s easier (to me and possibly you) than podcasts and videos, and why it’s the primary focus in my business.

Must Write and Read to Improve Writing Skills

It’s obvious why you need to continue to write, as practice makes perfect as the old saying goes. Sometimes I cringe when I read my older articles, blogs, and books. Thankfully, my writing has improved and will keep on improving as I mature.

Reading

What does reading have to do with writing? Everything! Such as:

Discover what subjects you desire to write about.Learn the writing styles you like and dislike.Educates you about proper spelling and grammar.Inspires you to write.

Can you think of other things reading helps with your writing?

I like to add that reading is fun and I encourage you to read nonfiction and fiction in different genres.

Pamela's Books Must Write Click to Learn More Writing and Reading are Easier

Well, at least to me and other authors and writers. I’ve created podcasts and videos, which were much harder for me and less enjoyable than writing. The writing of the outline, recording guests and myself, the editing, and more for creating podcasts or videos took up so much time.

However, I go into a pleasant zone when I write and it’s as if no time at all passed.

When I’m looking for information, I can find it faster when I read than a podcast or video because I can quickly scan and zoom in on the information. Honestly, with podcasts, I can listen for a while, then my mind goes away with the fairies. With videos, it’s harder for me to locate what I’m looking for.

I realize everyone is different. A connection on LinkedIn couldn’t believe how it’s rare that I watch YouTube. While I felt bad for him because he doesn’t read books.

Must Write and Read in My Business

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been self-employed since 1993! Since that time, I’ve done in-person services for different healing modalities, psychic readings, and dream interpretation. Then I did phone, Skype, and Zoom for psychic readings, dream interpretation, teaching, and spiritual growth coaching. I added email services over a decade ago.

Guess which service I enjoyed most now? The email services for dream interpretation and psychic readings, of course.

Why? A client doesn’t interrupt when the messages or interpretation flows; therefore, even more information comes through. The zone is even more pleasant and intense than the writing zone!

The other reasons are I can do them at my convenience, not having to deal with scheduling, or the dreaded no shows. Sometimes extra information comes through when I have to read it for clarity and grammar before emailing it to my clients.

Of course, I’ll still be writing, reading, and editing my blogs, the Attitude of Cattitude blog, and starting another book.

I also continue reading lots of articles, blogs, and books.

In my life, I must write and read! How about you?

Spread Love, Not Fear Dream

A dream I had a few weeks ago inspired the ideal for this blog post, “Spread Love, Not Fear Dream.” It was so intense for me that I felt compelled to type it onto my computer, half asleep while sipping my coffee.

My dream is an example of how we have a choice between love or fear. Here’s my dream:

What’s Pamela Dreaming?

I was surrounded by people. Everyone heard a newscaster saying that in a month we were going to be fighting in World War Three.

People began to panic, and everyone was talking at once. Some thought they were going to die, while others talked about how Earth was going to explode! The energy of fear was intense.

To help calm them down, I explained, “We aren’t at war. How can they predict a war is coming in a month? We can change this! Let’s send them love, let’s stay in the positive. We can avert this.”

Some people sneered at me, and others laughed at me. It was so frustrating.

Upon awakening, I heard these words, “Spread love, not fear.” And I knew this would be my next post.

Interpretations of Spread Love, Not Fear Dream

Like all dreams, this dream has several interpretations. I won’t go into all of them, but here are two interpretations.

Merlin Heart t soft Click to Learn More First Interpretation

This is about my life’s work as a dream interpreter, psychic, and lightworker. How sometimes I feel like I am battling people’s egos and denial.

It’s also symbolic for people who sneer and laugh at what I do for a living. Plus, about a few clients who get immediate sessions with me through Click4Advisor. These clients may call in a panic, do all the talking, refuse to listen to me, won’t do the work, and remain the same.

As frustrating as it is to me, this dream is reminding me to spread love to these people. Not to allow their actions to get to me, nor go into their negativity. It’s important for me to stay in love.

Second Interpretation

The reason for my dream was to write about it to remind people not to listen to fake news, other people’s negativity, and anything else to do with over inflated egos.

That much of what’s happening on Earth is an illusion. Or to quote Shakespeare, “All the world’s a stage.”

In other words, we have the ability to manifest something different.

Let’s stop pointing out what’s wrong with the world and how this person is so fu*cked up. Instead, let’s send them love. Why? Because hurt people will go and hurt people. We don’t have to like their actions. There’s no reason you should break bread with them. We can limit our time around them.

What will help this world is to spread love everywhere….

How to Spread Love, Not Fear

The following are two actions you can take to spread love:

Close your eyes, breathe in love, and exhale it into the world. This small action would have a ripple effect if just a thousand people did it. Now, imagine if millions or billions of people did it.Another way to spread love is to speak in a loving and kind manner to others. Or sometimes silence is the best way to respond.

For the second action, I want to make clear to listen to your intuition and pay attention to other’s actions. If you feel someone is dangerous and could be violent, please do what you need to protect yourself and get to safety.

Final Thoughts

Love is the greatest power on Earth. It has the potential to heal all living creatures and the Earth itself. Fear can destroy relationships and the planet.

Let’s choose love over fear!

Lightworkers in 2025

Before I go into the topic of lightworkers in 2025, let me define what a lightworker is.

A lightworker has an inner spiritual calling to help people, animals, and the planet Earth. They desire to make the world a better place.

That’s it in a nutshell. If you desire to learn more about what a lightworker is, there is plenty of information on the internet.

Heal Thyself Lightworkers in 2025

It’s difficult to help someone when you are stuck in childhood patterns and haven’t resolved adult issues. If you haven’t, you will attract others who will repeat those patterns and issues while you attempt to help them.

Why? To help you recognize unhealthy behaviors and issues for you to work through and let go of. This will bring freedom into your life.

The more you heal yourself, the higher quality relationships and better situations will come into your life.

This will assist you in your life’s work because you will have better boundaries and help others heal what you have already healed.

Please note that healing yourself never ends as long as you are alive. It’s called growing into your highest potential. Sure, there are uncomfortable and painful moments. However, this too shall pass.

Lightworkers Helping the Planet in 2025

Let’s face it, the Earth needs healing, love, and positive energy. And we are here to provide it.

It’s easy to get stuck in the muck and mire of the negativity of news, politics, and all the chaos of the planet.

It’s time to rise above the negative, as you can’t change everything. What you can do is your small, yet IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTION. Your contribution with every other lightworker’s contribution can heal the world.

Stay positive, work on yourself, help others with your calling, and meditate on healing, love, and kindness.

Strut Your Stuff tshirt Available at Pamela’s Purrfect CreationsNaysayers In 2025

Without a doubt, you’ll encounter naysayers, whether that’s family, friends, or other members of society. Remember, opinions vary and you need to stay true to yourself.

Part of a lightworker’s role is being misunderstood. I understand how uncomfortable this is, and it’s easier to conform. Don’t! Because it’s dimming your light and losing a part of yourself. When this happens, I think of this part of the Prayer of St. Francis; to understand than to be understood.

Not everybody has to get you. Instead, get where they are coming from. They could be fearful, stuck in how things should be, or whatever. Love them for where they are at and accept them as they are.

Keep being you and go for your goals.

Goals for Lightworkers in 2025

Sorry, I can’t tell you what your goals are as that’s for you to find out. I can suggest writing them down, recording them, or creating a vision board.

Then take the baby steps to bring them to fruition.

Pamela’s 2025 Goals

Spending time with my husband, cats, and loved ones is at the top of my list.

For business, it’s writing. Whether it’s my ninth book, this blog, Attitude of Cattitude, my psychic email readings, and in-depth dream interpretation by email. Plus, I’m open to other business writing opportunities.

To help reach more people with my words, I reduced the prices on all my eBooks. Plus, since I’m a Smashwords’ Gal, all my eBooks are 50% off at the Smashwords bookstore. You can read my eBooks for free with your Kobo Plus or Everand subscription. Or request them from your local library.

Lightworkers keep shining your light and being who you are. I wish you much joy in 2025!

Be Who You Are

To be who you are is one of life’s biggest lessons. It can be scary being yourself and an ongoing battle in a world where people want to define who you should be.

Lesson from Three Decades Ago

A former group of friends taught me the importance of always being myself. They invited me to go with them to the Science of Mind church.

Several months later, I felt moved to do a reading at one service from the meditation book, The Language of Letting Go by Melody Beattie. It was scary reading the meditation “Be Who You Are” in front of the congregation. However, I felt so empowered afterward. Some of these friends thought I was weird to do a reading at church and criticized me.

Then I noticed how these so-called friends constantly put each other down in the name of fun. These people wanted me to become who they thought I should be. Therefore, I left the group as I was tired of being made fun of because I was being myself. I was lonely for months, yet my inner wisdom told me I was better off alone than with this group of people.

Don’t Follow the Herd

Do you really want to be like everyone else? Wear the same clothes? Have an identical hairstyle? And be a clone in everything else in life?

A man from a former spiritual group always said, “Moo, don’t follow the herd.” This always stayed with me and encouraged me to be myself, despite other people’s opinions. And believe me, they have them!

A friend gave me a photo to use when I was creating my Answers From Animals deck. Ah, the herd of buffalo was perfect to use for the following card.

Don't Follow the Herd Be Who You Are By

One way to be who you are is to listen to the small voice within, your intuition, your gut, or whatever you choose to call it. Then follow it. For example:

Bring an umbrella on a sunny day.Ignore advice to date a guy who gives you the creeps.Drive a different way home.Say no to a career offer that doesn’t feel right.Move to a new city, state, or country.

There will be naysayers who say you’re making a mistake in your actions. Nonetheless, being you is learning to trust yourself.

Results of Listening to Your Intuition

It’s always interesting to see the outcome of following your gut. For instance:

People made fun of you for carrying an umbrella on a sunny day. Until they learned you scared off a potential mugger with it.Police arrested the guy who gave you the creeps for stalking a woman. You missed being stuck in traffic for three hours by ignoring directions from a loved one.Others thought you were crazy for turning down the job, but you got an offer for your dream job a few days later.Your friend told you how you’ll move back home in a year. Instead, you love the area you moved to and found your soulmate.Final Thoughts

Critics will judge you because you are not following the herd and ignoring what others think you should do. You do you! Be who you are always! It’s your life and you are in charge of steering the direction you want to take. Enjoy the journey…

My services and products will help you with your personal and spiritual growth. And they’re great gifts for the holidays.
